Larry Brown had to contend with some injuries or being without players for certain circumstances. He had to deal with a more cluttered roster also. Some Apologist are using the cluttered roster excuse, poor LB.

TrueBlue - Larry Brown acted like a putz and his players responded in kind. You earn respect by giving respect.

Let it go.

Marbury within the first month was questioning what style of play they should be implementing. Half the roster came to camp Curry.

lol you put Jerome James on the list.

Mo taylor & Malik Rose, are you serious.

I don't remember Lee getting hurt last season the 15gms he missed were because LB just didn't play him. Same with Nate.

Even if Lee missed 15games it did't matter much since he only get 16mins a game last yr anyway.

Marbury missing 22games shouldn't matter either though since he only brings the team down right?? So the better excuse would be that LB had Marbury healthy 60games.

Might I add that Q played so badly last year the team was better without him?

Boy the length some guys will go to...why not just say: "Me are hate Isiah!" and be done with it?

Bro you are getting moronic,

He's just getting moronic now?

Anyways, according to most 'round these parts, Marbury missing 22 games should have made the team sooooo much better! Oh and Curry too! Oh and Nate too!

And what was that injury Lee had? Oh, that's right, the dreaded DNP-CD virus!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

What is the difference WHY this team sucks last year and this year?
The point is - the team SUCKS big time already 3 years.
IT put a nice cover up with his advanced scapegoating and reshuffling of crap.
Any intelligent person can see the REAL reason why it is what it is... But who cares...

Getting younger doesn't always translate into winning with the crap he inherited he did alot. At least now we can make reasonable trades unlike before when we had marginal older talent with high salary at every position now we have a few Yoots we can develop or use as trade fodder to make the team better. It takes time.

In the NBA sometimes you have to SUCK before we get better, we have been sucking ass for a while though

Yeah, Lee didn't have injuries. The coach was just a moron.

As a team, the Knicks have had about an average number of injuries the last two years. They shouldn't get any sympathy either year.

I know Lee didn't have injuries but keep in mind with a cluttered roster and blurbs about ISAYUGH mettling with Brown on who to play it falls under the Injured List From Trades category. Certain guys had to move the Injured List so ISAYUGH could drum up some value in his supposed ASSETS in which he latered bought out. Comical that many here couldn't piece this together.

Egads! This is rich!^^^^

Yes, it was Isiah telling Brown to start Rose and Davis in front of Lee! Yes, it was Isiah telling him not to play Lee all game. It was Isiah telling Brown to put Lee in mainly during garbage time!

Good comical stuff...

Anyone who criticizes Isiah for the Francis move because trades are the GM's final decisions has to criticize Brown for awful playing time distributions because that's the coach's decision.

Oohah, "Me are hate Isiah" is not a grammatically correct sentence. I can't join that club due to its grammatical incorrectness.

I can kind of relate Isiah's GMing with that of George W. Bush's presidency, though. Some stubborn people defend it to the end. Everyone else is on, "how did this douche get reelected?" I know that same question will likely be asked of Dolan all summer: "So, you extended Isiah, yet he did just poorly enough that the Bulls were able to draft Oden/Durant/etc... In addition, the Knicks aren't any better than they were three years ago. What was the thinking behind this move?"
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

If you want to be technical, I'm not sure I agree. The coach can override the GMs decision... and risk getting fired. The GM can override the coaches decision... with no recourse. There's still that chain of command, and role aside, GM outranks coach. Some GMs micromanage, so it's possible Isiah had some role in the coaching. In the case of Larry Brown,, I think the rotations were mostly LB, though, but that isn't always the case. For instance, when Don Chaney was coaching, he had a season start off where he had Kurt Thomas and Charlie Ward starting the season with career high numbers over say 10 games. Then they were mysteriously benched for McKnee and Eisley. Chaney couldn't give a real explanation to the media. In that situation, I always felt like Layden pushed that issue, for "trade value". In that sort of situation, a less powerful coach is somewhat helpless. Just playing devil's advocate for technicality.
