Curry again showed us his one dimension. (NY Loses again, get Hornet stung!)
Thank god for NCAA march madness, it allows us to simmer down from these disappointing knick efforts.

Wouldn't ya love ? to be in position to deal Curry and whomever for a shot at G. Olden and Kevin Durant (Texas)? I know aint going to happen although outside of keeping David Lee, Balkman and
perhaps Marbury and QRich I'd deal anyone else to have a shot at Texas Kevin Durant.

Below is few guys should look at if they were serious about the draft and getting some of the dead
weight knicks outta here:

Kevin Durant /Tex SF/PF. All around player with major upside outside of G.Olden. You seen this
guy and enough said his talents speak for themselves cleary. He will be a NBA Star one day.
-write it

Brandan Wright /NC PF
Alot of folks says he got potential to become impact player. But coming from North Carolina we wont argue he's got the preparation. Seems to be a smart player but has to go up to next level intensity
wise.

Nick Batum /France SG/SF
Dont know too much about him other than he's from France and all the writeups been favorable. All around player capability. We know 2 other guys in NBA from france who are doing pretty well.

Glen Davis /LSU PF
Big guy, weird shape but LSU produces some hustle and effort guys. He seem to be coming out as a
senior next yr but if the writes continue he should be in 1st round pick. Not this yr 2007 though
unless he comes out. Knicks need a real banger in the post, DJ dont care about scorers since its
not a problem knicks has.

We need rebounding and nasty defense and effort.

Sean Williams /BC C/PF
Well we know Sean is ncaa world reknown shot blocker phenom and also one of ncaa most talented head
case players. (off court issues). A risk but NY with the way they play can take a chance on this
risk. He will be in NBA on some team unless he gets into trouble prior to draft.

Josh Shipp /Ucla SG
Dont know much about him either other that he's versatile and can score/defend. All UCLA guys plays
defense. (Remember Trevor Ariza?). I'll try to watch this guy in 2007 NCAA tourney since I expect
UCLA to go deep into the tourneys and unless he makes himself eligible he is 1 yr away in draft.

L.R. Mbah /UCLA S. Guy is from a sound hoops program and seems like a player to watch. These UCLA
guys seem to find jobs in NBA. There are indication that he ain't coming out this 2007 draft until
next yr.

Al Horford /Fla PF Plays the position the way power f should be played. NBA body, wouldnt mind seeing
how he improves in NBA since not a big scorer. Got good potential

Corey Brewer /Fla SF Plays the position the way sf should be played. He got a NCAA title and his upside
is great cause he likes to play DEFENSE. I like his demeanor on court and energy, seems NBA ready. This may be an answer to few of Knicks SF/SG issues if NY was ever lucky enough to get another pick in draft (1st round). Dont hold your breath.

DJ I agree with Briggs here. I love your ideas and the prospects that you mentioned but at this time, getting up that high in the draft to draft any of them is just not happening. As it stands we have to set our chances on guys like Morris Almond(fine player but he's not Oden/Durant) Stephan Lasme/Sean Williams.

Although, that French guy you mentioned sounds pretty interesting, this is the first time I'm hearing about him and I havent seen him on any draft sites.

i hear ya. But since Curry has had more a plus year than minus, he has good trade value and not
too many teams has a big man.

Sure we'd have to make any deal with curry worthwhile but Zeke Thomas must move towards getting
talented defender types to play Knicks basketball. Who was the Center Hornets had ? Chandler ?
Mark Jackson?

I dont see any reason why aside from scoring why Curry did not have any tendency to be a stopper
and passer as a big man. His defense has not improved. Sure we did not lose the game cause of big
Eddy and I like Eddy he is a really good kid.

However I dont think we will see much better of Curry even on his BEST nights. We need big men
who can play defense. Aside from super 6th man David Lee Neither Frye OR Curry has lived up to
that. I blame it most on coaches however I see an up side one day for Frye if he works hard.

Curry upside is the present. Trade him now, or some other skilled Knicks and get the type of players you really really need. Few yrs ago Knicks had guys with 0 trade value. We have some
pieces now who can be moved. Even few of the guards.

All I am saying is that we can win some exciting games on a jumpshot and talents of Marbury who
has been stealth in 2007, and trying to lead the team. But the Knicks and NY is built on Defense
its their identity/logo. If we fail to ever going back to being defensive oriented we'd never win
a thing. Guaranteed!

No one goes into overreaction mode after every lose. These reactions started long before the season began and before this team was losing ANY games.

Nope, Ewings knicks were basically the defensive brother of the Nash/Dirk Mavs, the way you guys talk about what a team has to be to achieve anything. THey didn't win and that is that...........

We (knicks) dont play defense. Point is they are next to last defensively and those teams whom won a
title like Bulls, Rockets, Lakers,Spurs,Pistons,Heat over past 20 yrs all won with being primarily great
defenses. If you want to ignore that fact go right ahead. All pro teams win with defense not an offense.

Knicks dont play D, they played D today against the division leading Raptors is the sole reason why they
won the game very easily.

Yeah, I remember it like it was yesterday. My Knicks backed up my guy Ewing's guarandamtee against the Bulls and made us all forget about that Charles Smith foul or no foul in Game 5. Took care of the Suns. For championship #1. Starks pull up jumper right over Hakeem for # 2. Made everyone forget about that whole OJ thing in LA. And how we defended it against them the next year despite Reggie Miller performance thanks to the Ew man patent finger roll. Smooth as butter. Back...to...Back...to...Back champs!! Riley with the 3 peat White tees. Fond memories.

I don't think anybody would call the Rockets,Lakers and Heat Primarily Great Defenses. I'm only taking a shot at the people who think being a strictly Defensive team is better then being a strictly offensive. I don't care ether way, because you have to build up the other side to win a title anyway. So if the Knicks blitz the Mavs Offensively like they did last year in the garden then means what???? LOL.

the Knicks should be able to draft Sean Williams w/CHI's pick... no need to trade up to get him.

pretty funny
if YOU want to call Rockets,Lakers and Heat teams whom won titles based on scoring machines like the
old Denver Nuggets or Phoenix Suns go right ahead.

And if you think Dallas who may win title this year will win because of their scoring and not locking
down better teams in the playoffs, well I guess we dont watch the same basketball brother cause dont
know what you're talking about anymore. We're obvisiously watch two(2) different basketball games
played. Cool and np.

If the implication is that you dont have to have great or good defense to win NBA title thats fine np. Build your team that way.

I wouldnt do that--and I don't think the Knicks will do that--too much risk. If we can get pick 25 or 29 from the Suns for a reasonable fee--then I would go there. We need a guy who can really shoot the ball first--look @ our 2G position and our lack of perimeter fire power 3pt%+ the fact Q-Rich will have an injury that wont go away J Craw will be coming off major injury and Marbury's shot is tired 20 games a year. Teams will be much less willing to double down on EC if we have some real sharp shooters he can pass back out to. Sean Williams is a risk player--there is a significant charachter question--he's still raw--so the Knicks are going to have to take a hard look at everything with Williams--and they will weigh that it.{thats IF they are interested in him--are able to get another pick--decide that JJ is shot etc...]
