Maintaining your composure? Is that what you call dodging legitimate questions and avoiding the fact that, after all these months telling everyone that it "isn't your money", he slipped and acknowledged that lowering your salary cap "should help"?

This isn't about any "haters". This is about him using that nonsensical phrase every time ANYBODY noticed that the Knicks are at twice the salary cap, which is double that of most teams.

misterearl is a grown man, he can defend himself and what he's been saying.

misterearl why don't you just answer the question. Why do you think that getting Shandon Anderson and Allan Houston off the cap, should help? Because a lower cap number will do what exactly to help a team?

If carrying the torch means ignoring simple truths, like the salary cap matters, then have fun.

Sparrow #2, Bannister #1 and Orr # 55 in your program. Please, one has nothing to do with the other.

Oh I know. But more importantly it's another opportunity to call out misterearl since he avoided answering the simple question in the other thread. Like a scared little girl.

I think this knick team has ranked right up there with some of the worst.

There is nothing to be proud of with this group. They are overpaid and underachieve.

They are paid entertainers.

That ain't hate, thats just what it is.

djsu - if this is a bait thread then I'm a just a sucka (and honored) for just wanting to hang out with cats like you and JesseDark who bleed orange and blue.

C'mon, if I could be in section 404 every home game, we'd share the agony and the joy, and at the end of the night go have a hot dog on seventh avenue on the way to The Subway.

Holfresh knows that things go in cycles. If some of us have hung tough through the brief episodes of Mel Davis, Kenny Walker and Neal Walk...

...then how tough could watching best friends Channing Frye and David Lee, or Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford - reach their peak years together - (with the addition of new players that no one can predict) - actually be?

Thanks for the props but, dealing with the puppy-strength-piss-poor-anti-Knicks venom, spewed by those who will go unnamed, is nothing compared to rooting for the Knicks in the old Boston Garden, The Omni, The Spectrum or Chicago Stadium, all of which I have done...

... and done without fear.

(rock on 'til the break of dawn) ...on an' on an' on an' ON...!

...like a hot buttery pop da pop da popcorn!

I've done the same at the old Boston Garden, the Spectrum and Chicago Stadium. Big deal.

Now answer the question. Oh wait, that's right, you can't. If you did it would just expose how full of crap you are with your "it ain't your money" nonsense.

When guys like woof-woof and true-bloser question your intelligence and integrity, you know you are on the right track.

I am simply amazed those 2 have so many computer privileges at the group home! Swanky!

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

How respectful is it for misterearl to dismiss every poster who dares to mention the Knicks salary cap, with his flippant "It ain't your money" comment, when it now appears that he thinks that getting Anderson and Houston off the cap "should help"?

Keep making misterearl out to be the victim because he refuses to clarify his comments.

Be a man and explain yourself misterearl or forever change your name to missesearl.

I'm not a true hater in the Isles sense, but I am one of the more critical voices on this board ... and I am a veteran of the Sparrow, Bannister, Orr days (I go back to the mid-1970s with the Knicks). Hey, don't forget that Sparrow and Orr were key parts of the 1983-84 team that took the Celts to Game 7 of the second round. That was a team coached by a man (Hubie) who got every ounce of talent out of his players.

Anyhoo, while I can also have hope regarding this team, it does not mean I can't at the same time hate the owner and criticize the GM/coach.

I think one of the things that some people on this board forget is that while we all have different opinions and different ways of expressing them, just about everyone who posts here, and certainly those who post regularly, are pretty diehard Knick fans. It's just that some are disgruntled diehards, and others are satisfied diehards.

There was disrespect before the dawn of the digital age and there has been respect since then. It's never so much about the era as it is about the people.
