Season notes;

#1 - Knicks are the only team in the league that increase victories and decreased losses every month of the season.

#2 - Isiah motivated Curry & Lee into players that matter. Isiah rejuvinated Marbs and Franics.

#3 - Knicks made no trades which is a plus.

#4 - Knicks are plus 6 with 19 games to play.

#5 - Dolan has seen the light and extended Isiah. Now the team can relax and play even better and not worry that Isiah might not be there.

#6 - Knicks will be the 7th seed in the playoffs !!! Watch and see !! Knicks vs Cavs !!! That is a matchup i will take !!! We are 1 - 1 against them with a 2 games against them in a home & home series on the 23rd & 28th with Orlando in the middle.
GOD arose JESUS from the grave !!! Isiah arose the Knicks from their grave !!!

We are a mediocre team.

I will surely admit we're a mediocre middling mid-level, middle-of-the-road team. Check out this post from nyknicks12 in the NYtimes forum

In the games I've seen this year, approximately the same number of games as last season, I can see a big difference in Stephon Marbury that does not necessarily reflect in his numbers.
He doesn't tune out of the game when he is on the bench. He is demonstrably more vocal on the floor. He gives "attaboys" to his team mates and from my observation his game reflects a "What do you need me to do? What will help us win?" attitude.

Right now this team is exactly positioned where it should be given the level of talent and experience going out on the floor... they ain't bad. And NOT BAD was the best we could legitimately hope for this season. I may not have posted much this year, but I have been consistent in using "Not bad" as my measuring stick.

This is where this team should have been last year. This year they should have had a reasonable EXPECTATION to a. Make the playoffs and b. Do better than one and done.

This team as presently constructed should have been an OK to Pretty Good team this season, but that would have been unjustly ignoring the god-awful clusterfreak of last season.

It is TOTALLY evident that last season may be laid squarely at the feet of Larry Brown - whose hiring I supported.

Isiah brought these players here and has sold them on his vision.

Sometimes it ain't pretty, but there ain't no quit in this squad.

As the Answer Man used to say,

"These guys don't do nuttin' easy."

Throw out last season's disaster and Isiah has not only raised the Knick ship of state from the floor of the Atlantic (division), he has it gaining steam and going in the right direction.

The dude deserves props.

#1 - Knicks are the only team in the league that increase victories and decreased losses every month of the season.

How the hell they mange to do this at the same time?
#2 - Isiah motivated Curry & Lee into players that matter. Isiah rejuvinated Marbs and Franics.

Will be great if he will also motivated all of them to play some defense...
#3 - Knicks made no trades which is a plus.

They have no assets to make any which is a minus
#4 - Knicks are plus 6 with 19 games to play.

Looking at the standings they are -5... Am I blind?
#5 - Dolan has seen the light and extended Isiah. Now the team can relax and play even better and not worry that Isiah might not be there.
Unfortunately Dolan was not stroked by the lighting...
And if this team will relax (i guess they are relaxed in the first half’s all the time) we will finish with -15 record

How we do against the statistically weak atlantic division the rest of the way (ie our division) will make a big case as to whether we deserve a spot in the playoffs or not. We're 2-8 in our own division - that's sad, because we're actually over .500 against the rest of the NBA.

Any predictions on which team's "franchise" big man plays better tonight? I'd go with Bosh but I really hope Curry proves me wrong.

the reason, and the ONLY reason we can stay in the game is b/c of rebounding. the raps are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league, while we are the best (although we don't have lee, and probably not q - it seems). so the knicks have to crash the boards and get many 2nd chance points. the raps will score some points and move the ball. and their defense should not be overlooked sine they're only giving up 96 ppg since the new year (they're 22-11 since jan 1, 14-4 at home). they are susceptible to teams that function in the open court and can shoot. and that's something we don't really do well.

Marbury Supports Mitchell
14th March, 2007 - 1:23 pm

Stephon Marbury believes that Sam Mitchell deserves a contract extension with the Raptors.

"I mean he basically has a team that's playing well," said Marbury. "They've gotten over that hump since Vince [Carter] left. They've solidified Chris [Bosh] as their star. And now it's time to grow and build. To take that away from him, you wonder what kind of direction the team is going in as far as for the future.

"Everyone has confidence in Sam; as far as his coaching ability, he's bringing to that team everything they need to win."

all i gotta say is STFU steph. don't go trying to spread your evil to the great white north.

Beat the Raps, Knicks!!!!

Now that Isiah got his deserved extension, we can get down to business of winning more games.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
