Lotto is the key word.
They'd still get our pick, but it wouldn't be as high as they planned is all Case was saying.

Infact, if the Bulls get bounced out of the playoffs before we do, then they would be closer to the lottery then we would

This is not true. Lotto selections and draft pick seedings are based upon the end of the regular season standings!

Are you suggesting that the only good thing that would come from us making the playoffs would be that the Bulls might not get our pick, or that we have a chance of not trading it all together?

Making the playoffs will be huge for this team for several reasons:

First, it would finally erase the stigma of last year and get the fans behind the team again.

Second, these young players need experience; we lose more games due to lack of smart basketball play more than anything else. A few playoff games should help teach these kids something about playing at a higher level.

Third, if we don't have to give Chicago another lottery pick, then I think it is clear we are the winners in the Curry trade. Thomas might become a good player, but he is years away from making the impact that Curry is making and as for this year, it looks like we have the chance to only be moving down a few spots. With IT's eye for talent, I think we will still get a solid player.

Fourth, the LB haters will be justified in knowing that it truly was LB and his bad attitude/coaching that destroyed last season. Imagine if we had started the season without all the booing and negative energy and LB had spent last year developing these players instead of trying to undercut IT. This team would have started the year stronger and we probably would have won 4 or 5 more games, which would have made us the 4th seed in the playoffs.

Without the solid team-destroying groundwork LB put in, we certainly don't go 1-7 at home to start the year...

Currently we give CHI the 15th pick and get the 21st. Its looking like we're the winners in the Curry trade anyway, but we would've been the outright thieves in that trade had LB not tanked last year.

Oh come on. At least blame it on the team meshing under a new system in Zeke. Blaming it on a coach-who players insinuated was the cause off all the ills on the team and that the team would be almost instantly be made better when he was one is low.

Let us not forget the only difference between this team and last year (other than the obvious player development and "streamlining" of the team) is that they actually have a coach they are willing to lay it all on the floor for. That makes a huge difference.

We wouldn't have needed to MESH, is my point. LB didn't do anything.

Even 6-11 to start was better. And I think getting better the very next season (This one) is instantly.

And all it took was for the coach to not quit on them before the ink was dry on his contract...

What was the streamlining? Injuries? I might agree with that! Like Kenny Smith said: Injuries on this team can be a positive thing because it allows the healthy players to find a groove with playing time. Why didn't that work last year?

Wouldn't have needed to mesh with a new coach? Or wouldn't have needed to mesh if the players took on responsibility and didn't throw the coach under the bus at the first chance they got? Or if they were willing to lay it on the line for any coach they played for instead of the coach that just happened to bring them all to NY as GM?

I'm sorry but my personal belief is that the LB excuse was done the minute he was fired and the the guy all the players wanted was hired.

If LB had done a good job we wouldn't have needed the new coach.

What will it take for you to change your personal belief on LB?
