i think this goes beyond whether we are better with or without crawford but looking realistically at who can yield something in the offseason. i think crawford -- his age, his ability to score, and his contract -- make him one of the more tradeable players on the team.
even if the knicks make the playoffs it is pretty clear they have some blatant deficiencies -- namely no perimeter or interior defense of any kind. they must make moves to shore those deficiencies or they will simply not improve. who would be interested in crawford? i have no idea, but i think he might get moved just b/c nobody else on the knicks is very attractive.
I gotta say, if Crawford is the more tradable guy here, then what does something like that say about Francis and starbury? I mean what are we talking about here? oohah makes the point that Francis is much better than Crawford, and I would say he's right! Except for one realistic fact, outside of fantasy. His health, namely his legs are the real issue here, between the both of them. A better player isn't worth a damn, if his health isn't 100%. Or at least close to it. So realistically, if Crawford is there to play, and he has been up until recently, then he in fact is the better of the two, as far as at least being there.
If I remember the stat correctly, it is a fact that when Crawford scores about 20 or more points in a game, we have more wins under him, as opposed to less wins when he does not and he done it almost every time he's been out there. But you have to be there to do it and have good legs, like Crawford has had. I know, I know. The shoe is on the other foot right now, but lets see how long it lasts.
I'll never trust this' team again.
