We don't have many draft picks. So MLE signings are obviously very important. Counting luxury tax, the last three MLE signings cost $138 mil. All of them were obviously great signings, but which one was the best?
Vin Baker ($9 mil, 2 years)
Jerome James ($30 mil, 5 years)
Jared Jeffries ($30 mil, 5 years)

why not include all of his signings?

kind of a biased poll.

The poll was really tongue in cheek. What other signings did you have in mind anyway? Are you thinking of the sign and trades as opposed to FA signings?

He was thinking of Q Woods, Jackie Butler and DerMarr Johnson as well, but they never really turned out to be much either. I'm honestly not sure why Q Woods isn't on a team right now. I guess he just isn't into basketball.

Yeah but those guys aren't even on the team anymore. If signing them was good, then losing them was equally bad.

It really is odd. I think he is only like 26 or 27 and has NBA talent. I don't know why Woods disappeared. I did not even hear about him trying to make someone's team this summer. Dude must have gotten into something over the summer because few people his age just walk away from the NBA when they can still play.

Vin Baker. It was the shortest.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I'd like to see someone make a poll of ALL of the signings, in the last ten years, to see what the best ones were. That would be a much, much better debate and shed some real light on some of the worst contracts we could have signed and how they panned out and did not pan out. It would show the poor moves that were made over this span. Maybe I'll do it myself. Any takers?
I'll never trust this' team again.

Yeah, and what happened to Vin Baker? It's kind of odd that no other team picked him up!

He picked up the Jack Daniel's before a team could pick him up.

Vin was on the Clippers for a cup of coffee.

Isiah has a soft spot for players with substance abuse issues, his own brother have those problems.

Remember Brewer who's had a ruff upbringing.(mom on drugs)

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Maybe he's still embarrassed after that breakaway 360 dunk attempt.

Damn wet spots on the floor...

We could include the brilliant sign and trade for Crawford, in which we had to take on jerome james and his three year contract and then signed vin baker as a favor to offering crawford a deal when no one else would.

Or you could look at the Q trade which we will regret in the long run Kurt would have been off the cap next season and we wouldn't have money invested in a guy with a bad back, but we did get a 5'7 combo guard.....

Isiah hasn't made one good deal since he has been here not one

Vin,

He was once an allstar and had a reason for his decline.

JJ1 had a good series in a contract year.

JJ2 is a good role player.

Vince at least WAS special at some time in his career.

Nate is always SPECIAL.

But wait...wasn't resigning Vin a favor to someone's agent so that we could some sort of other deal (Crawford?)
