This poor kid just can't seem to stay healthy. It's a shame too since he's a rarity in this league. 6'7", "true" point guard, very good defense.

The guy came out too early! His body was not ready to play a mans game.

he is still young but these setbacks does not help his developement!

Wow I just saw it... he was just going up for a layup and he came down and baaaaaam. It's amazing what can happen in a half a second. I feel terrible for this kid.

that was nuts. theismann's was worse b/c that was a clean break of the bone. this is a tear or dislocation. he CAN come back from this and since he's so damn crack skinny, there's not alot of pressure on his knee. but it's going to take ALOT of rehabbing and ALOT of muscle building on his legs to prevent something like that from happening again.

he's probably out until the 2008/09 season.

I just read about the injury. This is his second dislocated knee in four seasons. The guy did the same thing to his right knee four years ago. He's just not built to be a pro baller.

That injury looked like his knee just gave out. It hurt me just watching that. You really think he's out all of next season?

Geez Louis rice and peas!

That scares the **** out of me. I'm so scared to hurt my knee like that. They say its not likely to tear again but that's what they say till it happens again!

Shaun is gonna have a tough road ahead of him. Damn I feel bad for him. Its not even about him going to college. He just grew too fast and his body didnt compensate. Dude is gonna have to really take a hard look at his training. Maybe even look into doing something else. Oh baby that was just icky!!!

I said this on these very boards maybe a year or two ago.

Some peoples bodies can handle it and others can't. Look at Grant Hill. We all have lost what was suposed to be an incredible, Hall of Fame career from grant hill, people forget how good he was. ANd he NEVER could make it. Hes older now, and it doesn't matter, his best days are way behind him.

As for Shaun, he is still young and has plenty of oppurtunity to be this phenomenalt PG that everybody thinks he can be (I'm not convinced); but these constant injuries aint helping matters at all. If i were him I would develop a MJ/J. Kidd/Sam Cassell appraoch to the game.

Don't try to be a high flyer, be a runner, play a low impact game, and dominate the game with your brains and understanding of the game.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Reality sucks! Looking at him out of highschool vs. a guy like Maggette who came out after a year and built like a truck was huge.

This guy was never to be that big, but he is really fragile.

Two thoughts, keep him down until he matures or give thought to what would have happened if this occured in college and no money! Should The Clips have bought him along slower? Should NBA teams do that and expect to pay these guys big? NBA is not for kids!

(WARNING: not for the faint of heart)

I wouldn't be surprised if he were forced to retire, and it would be a goddamn shame if that were the case.
