Now an apologist has been saying for a long time now that the reason Curry doesn't get rebounds is because Lee grabs them all.

Yeah Curry got 11reb against Milwaukee which is very good and he follows that up by getting 4reb tonight, which averages out to be 7reb. Why can't this dude consistently get 9/10reb/gm? He's 7ft tall and an agile 285lbs. Shouldn't he be going all out proving he's more than a 1 dimensional player?

Boston Nachbar got 10reb tonight.

Ok, I'm a Curry fan, but it is frustrating as all hell that he doesn't do more on defense. He can learn, yes, but can he hurry it up a little?

curry is way too fat.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I was at the game. He is not fat.
He is lazy and show-off. He is obsessed with his own abilities to score points and doesn’t want to do anything else.
I sad it before and will say it again - this dude should not get involved in team sport.
He should be gymnast, weight lifter, wrestler, whatever. But he should do it all himself.

He is too fat for an NBA player. He's been a bad rebounder his whole career--long before David Lee was even in the league.

Ooops.

So once every ten games he gets the rebound total he should get every game. Jeez, I'm so glad we gave up four draft picks for him.

That's what we used to hear about his ability to score.

He's 24. There is reason to believe his rebounding can improve just like his offense has.

It's not the picks, it's that they were unprotected.

I'm sick of the "he's 24". You know what the average age in the NBA is? Slightly less than 26. So he's played more seasons than the average NBA player and is almost as old. As for the scoring: I never doubted that if he played 35 mpg, he could get 19 PPG.

Has he or has he not dramatically improved his offense since the start of the season?

No, it's the picks too.

And he's 3 points better than his previous career high. What he's averaging this year isn't that shocking. Especially considering their offense is predicated on getting him the ball down low every time down. It's shocking that he's not scoring more.

Now if he averaged 11 boards a season, that would be truly shocking.

Oh please, when he began his streak of 20 pt games, a lot of people here were saying it wouldn't last.

I'd trade Ty Thomas for Curry in a heartbeat. Who they give up this year will be determinative on the trade.

This forum is so freakin funny sometimes. Do you realize that we have one of the FEW true post up Centers in the league? What's the problem? We know he's not perfect, but when we get this team built a little bit more around him it's gonna be a steady trip to the playoffs every year. Why some of you can't see that is beyond me.

Here's what you do. You take a guy like Curry and you offset his weaknesses with players that can fill those roles. Imagine if we add a shooter or 2 to this team? You think we won't be one of the top teams in the league? We have time to find those players CUZ CURRY IS STILL YOUNG! That's the reason it's brought up so much. He has time to improve and for the team to improve. Why can't some of you see that and enjoy the ride? Now is not the time to pick on the team and it's players. Now is the time to enjoy watching this team grow into something more as it moves along.

The argument against that is that you shouldn't be building around a player with so many weaknesses, especially at center. I'm not saying it can't be done, I just think the chances are alot less likely of winning a title like that. We don't have any chance but to wait and see though, because this team is certainly building around Eddy and theres no doubt about his scoring ability.

You do understand that the Knicks didn't have to take Thomas just because the Bulls selected him.

I would have taken Brandon Roy. If another player of his caliber is available, not just Oden and Durant, where the Knicks would have picked this year then this trade is an abomination.
