Stat guys never fail.
Aside from the stats, there have been countless times that my eyes have seen a-rod totally deep throat the bat. That's how bad he choked.
What about the latest stupidity coming out of his mouth?
Never fail to what, use facts to back up their arguments? As opposed to A-Rod's detractors, who use selective and subjective perceptions, but offer no data to support their arguments, except some isolated ABs.
Huh?
Well in my initial post I'm talking about how much of a retard he is, not talking about his game. Just for his stupidity alone he needs be traded.
Yeah A-rod still has a season to redeem himself, but the season hasn't started yet and we here him professing his love for being a jacksass.
Baseball in general we cheer for failure. .300 batting average is good but its 3 hits out of ten at bats. Anyway, I just know A-rod is the last dude on the yanks I want on the field when they NEED a hit or some runs.
Forget about that for a second what about what this moron said?
Well yeah, I found that to be so over the top that I left it alone and tried to steer the discussion to a higher and more sober plane.
Honestly, I have no idea what you are talking about. A-Rod has shown himself to be a thinking, feeling human being with a healthy sense of humor. His life is put under a microscope by the NY and the national media, ESPN in particular, for reasons that I find difficult to fathom, except for the fact that people are jealous of his contract.
If he had shunned the media and refused to answer questions, he would be called aloof and surly. Instead, he has been extremely cooperative.
The guy made a huge sacrifice when he came to the Yankees. He agreed to shift from SS to 3B even though it's obvious to almost everyone that he is a far superior SS to Jeter.
Think about it. In what world doesn't merit and ability govern on the job decisions? But it does on the Yankees, and A-Rod has handled it in an exemplary manner.
Again, he is one of the greatest players of all time. But for his 2005 season the Yankees probably wouldn't have made the playoffs.
I'm at a total loss why some people can't see that he is an incredible player and a decent human being.
