I have no battle against DLee...What I do is point out his shortcomings just like we do every other player...The problem is that you guys give DLee a pass and I don't..I do point out DLee defensive deficiencies and it gets people here in an uproar...Why do you think that is??

Also I might be wrong but I think Isiah loves DLee...His leash is definitely shorter for Frye...I'm not sure why it's generally excepted that Isiah dislikes Lee...I think the Frye and Lee are best friends as well...

We do need Lee and Curry to improve defensively. They don't have to be shot blockers - just pick up an open man. They'll make an excellent pair inside if they can step up their defense. They're young, quick and eager to improve, so I'm hoping it wil happen - though it will take time.

We give him a pass because he plays his ass off, is young and has shown the ability to improve drastically. He has given us every indication that he will work on those short comings, he turned his free throw shooting around in one summer and i believe as the years go on he will develop into a good player i dont need to sit here on a message board and vent about his shortcomings cuz i know he knows what they are and im POSITIVE he will work on them. Someone like Curry - i vent about him because i dont think he will work as hard to improve his defense as someone like Lee would, he just hasent given me any reason to think he cares about anything but scoring down low.

So yea Hard Work + Always Improving Play = Pass for your shortcomings and Total respect.

You can only do your best, and DLEE DEFINATELY does that

Well Holfresh I coached David Lee for 4 years, Larry Hughes from the Cavs, Jahidi White that played at Georgetown and there is a kid at UNC named Tyler Hansbrough that played for me. Not saying I know anything about basketball but I understand the game a little. I am the first to admit Lee has shortcomings on defense but you dont say anything when Kyle Korver get 31 in a game or Mo Williams torches the Knicks. All I want is these guys to play hard all the time. Lee does some retarded things but at least he plays hard. SOme other players dont bring it all the time and they should sit.

Then being that you know so much about the game you should be equally as harsh on DLee apparent lack concern on the defensive end of the court..You should understand that defense takes effort and not always athleticism...DLee has enough foot speed to be a good defensive player...It's dedication just like Curry and Frye...Looking at the game against Milwaukee...How many times did you see him leave Bogut wide open for a jump shot...He has been good lately closing on three point shooters lately but lagged off his guy this game again...

You may see me tee off on Lee a bit more than others...Thats mainly because everyone here usually cover the bases when it comes to all our players...I know that Curry is bad defensive and can do much better on that end of the court and I do say this as well...Frye the same thing...But this board generally gives DLee a pass when it comes to working hard defensively and I'm a little shocked by it all...I like DLee as a player because he bring the intangibles needed to help this team win...But he won't get a pass from me when he plays poor defensively and won't close out on outside shooters...

I am a Knick fan because I do cheer for them to win and these guys to do well. I just want everyone to play hard all the time. I have found that the Knicks fans are the best I have seen. With the exception of people like you I couldnt ask for a better fan base. As long as people givew effort I dont care about mistakes. This team doesnt give effort all the time and when Lee doesnt I am on him. Remember the game he had 16 pts and 14 rebs and I was the first person to say he played bad. I know David needs to play better defense and I also know how he feels and what he wants to improve on.
