Yeah, I'll definitely agree that I want a championship in New York more than these players.

Briggs he gave no excuses for once.

He said we dont have the desire to cross the line and become successful, he said the fans right now want it more than the players and thats not how it should be. the quote i gave from Isola/Isiah was also pretty telling.

Basically Isiah was real for once. And he said hes going to find a way to correct it, and took responsibillity saying it was on him to get them to the next level. No excuses he manned up for once

Did he explain how it's his job to get his team ready to play?

Did he explain how he sets the tone and that by coming up with excuses all the time about how some games will be tough to win, his defeatest attitude is poisoning the player's attitudes?

what is he going to do? were getting torn apart by GS and Philly--even if we win games here and there--if we get ripped apart by many of these bad teams--the reality is we dont have the goods to put together a string of wins to get us to .500 we may look like it one night and get killed by a team that is headed for ping pong land so we are no where -i would seriously see if i could swap Frye nate for one of these teams about to lose their star players for nothing.

I just listened to Isiah's postgame remarks. I heard him put the blame on the players desire. I heard him say that he has to get the players to "get over the up and down" inconsistent play.

I didn't hear Isiah take any responibility for not getting his team ready to play. I didn't hear him take any responsibility for the inconsistent effort that he blamed his players for. I didn't hear him take any responsibility whatsoever.

Isiah: "These players suck and they have no desire. But these are the players we have. It's my job to get them over the up and down of inconsitent play. It's the General Manager's job to get me some players who have desire, so take that up with him."

I'll be totally honest, while I think Isiah has a bad problem with in-game adjustments I really don't mind him as the coach. Part of the problem for me and admittedly so is that when I see Isiah, I just don't see coach, I see the guy that put this team together so poorly and the GM part gets in the way. I'm not trying to turn this into an Isiah love-fest on my part, because it's far from that, but I don't think he's a bad coach, he needs a real good assistant with him to help with in-game adjustments, a Pete Caril type.

With all that said, he NEEDS to be fired from the GM post and I don't see one happening without the other happening too.

yeah, I am down with that. I was gonna post something like the above too. I hate Isiah the Marketing guy after/before games cause I feel like he lies or talks stupid with the audience, but I haven't had too much problem with Isiah the coach. Isiah the GM sucks.
