the play is downright disgusting.
no concept of teamwork.
lack of fundamentally sound players.
no shooters.
no true point guards.
just downright sloppy.

my days of watching the nba start in 1987.

this is the worst i've ever seen basketball played in the nba.

just terrible.

kids coming out of school way too early & players being paid huge dollars before they earn it has led to a league of flashy players w/enormous ability & potential but little in the ways of developed fundamentals.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Players Agents, Owners and the players have ruined the league I agree.

Stern promting individualism with Jordan started the downslide when the league was on the downside after Magic and Bird.

DJ you are correct. Has there ever been a time when more fans route for their teams to lose during the season because the Highlight is the Draft? You see less of the game and more of the Stars sitting front row Joshing it up with nobodies.

SportsCenter has contributed to the dummification of american basketball. Now each kid wants to dunk or shoot a 3. Team concept is gone..it is about me, myself and I.

It's easy to fix.
They just need to allow hard fouls and change rules to give advantage to defense.
Then all this pusses will end up in hospitals or will start playing the game...

I'd agree that most of the NBA has decreased in quality of play. There's still a few teams that play great, unselfich ball though (Detroit, Phoenix, Dallas, Utah)

That's why the first couple dream teams totally destroyed the world in international play. The NBA game was always more physical and just flat out harder. Our players had to. Deal with that day in and day out so international play was easy.

Nowadays, international basketball is the more physical game. The guys in return are more skilled and the coaches are flat out better cuz they learned from the best here. Thing with international guys is they respect the game.

Another thing, stop saying fundementals!!! Some sports writer said that and everyone is running with it. Its not about just knowing the perfect stance on defense or how to make a lay-up. Its about knowing the game inside and out. Guys in the league know more about jewelery, cars, clothes and gagets then they do the game of basketball.
