And it's certainly not about making pathetic excuses about looking forward to the all star break.

26 teams played tonight in their last game before the all star break. The Knicks are the only ones who didn't show up ready to play.

That total BS and completely inexcusable.

All those teams showed up to play. They might have lost and in some cases lost big but they gave an honest effort and didn't make excuses about how they might not show up because they were looking forward to the all star break.

Can you honestly say that the Knicks showed up to play tonight?

No but those teams didn't show up either...What do you mean they played hard..they were being blown out or got blown out big very early... Some guy started a thread saying teams are dropping the Hammer..meaning people are getting blown out...

You honestly don't think that there's a difference between not showing up from the opening tap compared with losing by 10+ points but giving an honest effort for the entire game?

Islesfan just give up you lost this one. Your point just got BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER! GEEZ!

So maybe it's time to take your Knick hating blather and go to bed. This team just had a good stretch of games on the road and all you can do is pick the one bad loss to try and prove some point. They had an overtime two point loss and an emotional 1 point win and then they run out of gas on the 2nd night of a back to back and that somehow proves dome kind of point. As if this team is a bunch of dogs.

It was a bad loss, but the team played last night and looked tired and did not have time to really prepare for GS. If we had won the Utah game, I think the road trip would have been a huge success even with a loss to GS. As it stands, we had average results at best, but beating the Lakers felt damn good.

OMG, you guys really don't know the difference, do you?

Here's a clue: If you show up you give yourself a chance regardless of the final score. If you don't show up you give yourself no chance.

I don't understand this "tired" excuse. Isiah said it too. This was only their 3rd game in the past 8 days. They had 2 full day's off before this set of back to back games.

Being tired is a pathetic excuse.

Isles isnt a random hater, he's just a bit harsh with his criticsm. He's got a point, it's happened far too many times to us and we are supposed to have a bigger squad than most which should have helped us to cope. Dont get me wrong I love my Knicks and I like what our guys can give us but I know all to well their shortcomings. To me only finishing better than last year AND showing signs of further improvement in the coming seasons will make me happy with the state of the franchise. Finishing better is a given but the signs of improvement part, for me at least, seems questionable, there are just to many holes to patch and we do have a shaky GM.

PS: IIRC the last time i posted was just before Marbs made his best point guard in the league comment, though i do check out the forums regularly. Things have just been downhill since

Isle, there is such a thing as jetlag. To these players, they are playing at 10:30-1:30 at night when they normally would be sleep after just coming off an emotional victory over the Lakers, which also kept them up to 2-3 a.m. NY time. While I agree they have to play through it, it certainly could have affected their play tonight.

Yeah isles is right the knicks didn't show up.

Still isles is wrong for saying the rest of the league did when tonight was the night of blowouts around the league.

As for the rest of you guys, stop feeding into isles hate by give excuses for how the knicks always seem to lay down the get back up too late in games to win.

I'm a genius.

Maybe they have a drinking problem and like to celebrate after emotional victories

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Don't forget, this is "just a hobby" for some of our guys. It's pretty hard to play pro ball after a shift at Payless.

But Isiah has done a good job of getting the team to compete, which i think is complete bull****, they have been blown out 15 times before the allstar break, 15 and they consisently have a let down game.

This team sucks, lets be serious they can't guard anyone that is quick at the guard or sf position. And I don't see it really improving either......
