our offense is dump it down to the post and if eddy doesn't have a good look, it's back to crawford to basically just go for his. it's not condusive for anybody else to get into the flow. marbury gets his shots b/c 1/2 the time, he's got the ball in his hands. otherwise it's just stand and wait.

jeffries hardly plays.
frye has a short ass leash.
nate is mr. dnp.
and he joins balkman as mr. dnp jr.
mardy is a season ticket holder.

isiah's boys are marbury, crawford, lee and curry. everybody else, he has no patience for.

just an observation.

thoughts?

I really wish that Frye could be integrated into the offense, and I don't understand why Balkman doesn't get at least 10 minutes a game no matter what.

We win tonight easy if Marbury plays like Captin Marbury. How good would the offense have looked if Q and Marbury would have showed up tonight?????

For someone who was so hell-bent on not trading Frye this offseason, you would think he'd be a little more dedicated into working him into the fabric of this team.

quentin is a low percentage guy but he took 7 shots tonight, hitting 3 of them. how can anybody get into an offensive flow if they shoot only 7 times a night? marbury's knee is clearly effecting him - that's why francis is up here.

Marbury just had four or five days off.... I can't accept that. He makes half of his point layups and OT doesn't even happen.

And Q..... it's like I don't like the guy that much to begin with, but if you are a starter in this league and you average 13, 14, 15 points per game, you are depended on to put points on the core board nomatter what. I expected more from him since his start of the season and maybe that is the problem. We can't be having two or three starters scoring under 10 points and be asking why the offense looks so bad at times. That is why it looks so bad and basically turns into us leaning on Curry in the post and JC going 1 on 1.

if you want quentin to get 15 points, then he has to shoot 15 times a night. and that's not happening.

If you don't like who is starting on this team, then blame it on the man that put the team together.

Wasn't IT supposed to combine three classic offensive schemes to produce for us an effective offense which kept everyone involved? Not sure how "dump to Curry, panic and play one-on-one ball when it doesn't work" is a blend of these offenses...

I'm not saying don't play Q, but him and Marbury really do disappear alot offensively. So when they are off and we usually concede that the fifth player on the court is not going to be a threat because it's Lee........ we get boned when they don't provid offense. I dont know........ how can the offense not freeze when only two players are a threat and only one of them can get his own shot???

As far as the offense goes, I think we are totally wasting Frye at this point, and it appears like it might get worse now that Francis is here. Frye has serious offensive skills and gives us a nice option.

Balkman is another obvious one that needs to play, at least 10 minutes a night. He might not be that good an offensive player, but he does a lot of good things overall and seems to be a poistive contributor most of the time. Plus, he needs the minutes to improve.

that offense was abandoned b/c we can't run it. it's the same lines of lb having to "dumb" down the plays last year b/c the team couldn't execute them.

we have to keep it basic and simple. dump it to eddy. watch him try a move. if not, hopefully jamal can bail us out. you notice how many times the ball is passed to jeffries or balkman at the 3 point line with less than 3 on the shot clock? it's b/c we don't know how to run an offense.

What's frustrating is this crap will be good enough to show "significant progress" (i.e. getting us closer to playing 500 ball) yet will never really yield any true success. It took a lot more than just dumping the ball to Shaq in his prime for him to get his rings, and Curry compares to Shaq only in size.

But we heard such great things about it in training camp. They were going to use their "youth" and "athleticism" to be the Suns of the East.

BTW, are we still rebuilding or are we in the "Win now" stage of Isiah's master plan? Why is it that 5 of the guys that this team was going to rebuild around either can't get on the court at all or barely have any role at all? That includes our only lottery pick in what will be 4 years and last summers big free agent signing, the proverbial "glue" of this franchise.

If Larry sat Frye and Nate, and both of the defensive minded players that Isiah acquired in the offseason, the way Isiah is, there would be a riot.

Isiah does it, and not a peep out of the people who vilified Brown.

Curry and Lee have emerged as cornerstone players under Isiah. Larry misused them. Does this team have a ways to go? Yes. But their future is brighter than it has been in a long time.
