Curry's recent declaration can't be sitting too well with the Mafia or the Haters I have grown accustomed to over the last year...We might tussle from time to time but I have grown fond of you guys...But please allow me this moment to rub this in a little on these pages...Ticket sales are up at the Garden, the Knicks have been playing .500 ball the last two months, they are doing the wave at the Garden...Dolan must be tickled pink!!!...And to that end, I hope Isiah gets another two years to implement his vision...Like you guys I'm not happy with all the moves he has made...I absolutely hate JJ skinny....I think he has made more good moves than bad moves...But that said, he needed two years to nuke this joint and start anew...here we are, a young core that's ready to make a run at the 8th seed in the playoffs...A weak division yes, but I wtill will be excited if they make it...So kudos to Zeke and props to Curry for trying to get him some extra time....LOVE IT!!!!

Dude, I'm with you but why give some of the guys here, more of a reason to start a flame war? We have positives and we have negatives. We will make some trades to solidify our strengths and address our weaknesses. We can work on this draft too.

No way!! .500 ball?!?! That's freaking awesome!!! And now Curry is making demands after this impressive 2 game winning streak?!? That's awesome!!!

Seriously, STFU already.

Don't your remember...year 7 is the one Curry starts playing defense and the team starts winning. He was obviously anticipating this improvement when he made that comment.

The Knicks are far from a finished product...If in making it's first strides they are .500 team with a core around 25 years old, well I think this is a good thing...But being reasonable and fair, I really think Isiah deserves another two years...Sure he made aggressive trades that has not all turned out to be stellar..But this organization was in a total mess when he got here...All I'm saying is two more years, let's see what Curry,Lee and Frye can be...That's all I'm saying...

No, you're saying that you think you've been proven right and us "haters" have been proven wrong so you're going to crow about it.

All because of this huge 2 game winning streak and because when you pick and choose what part of the schedule matters, you can say that they've been a .500 team between so and so period.

Nice.

I'm not sure why you are harping on this two win thing....I'm looking at the overall team...Everyone expected the Knicks to struggle at the beginning...We ae all trying to figure what kind we have...It's turing into a .500 team it seems...It's all in stages Isle's...You have to crawl before you walk...Lot of these players like Curry,Lee, and Frye has bigger upsides...Let's hope they grow in the second half and the potential are realized next year...Thats how the growth process works...

Two game winning streak and the BiPolar coaster is on the up swing.

Loses at Charlotte had some up in arms!

Holly, Its hard to stand up and try to rub goodness after such a short stretch and try to pound on the "Hating Mafia".

Benchmarking last years disaster is not really a good indicater. Last year was a disaster and perhaps even the low down Larry could have done equal to Isiah.

Less nate means more wins. Should we cut him?

Islesfan you need to cool it with the STFUs. It detracts from your view no matter how wrong it is.

Another absurd justification about this team without pointing out the limitations and the fact thats its going to be very hard to upgrade the 1,2,3 positions and create a balanced team because of Isiahs terrible spending......

Gloat all you want, but if you watch the Nets you can see how easy Marcus Williams makes it at times for players to get open shots and we still don't have anyone with those skills........

And if you think Frye has a ton of upside your lying to yourself he is what he is a good jump shooter nothing else, he makes an occasional jump hook but still can't use his body and rebound consistently.

You want to tell me eddy is an asset I agree, his defense kills us, but if he can get other players into foul trouble and learn how to play the game the right way he will be a home run, you want to give me DLEE you got it hes going to be great, but the rest of the team there isn't much promised, I'll take Balkman if he learns how to shoot and his coach learns how to use him, but if you have something intelligent to write about the overal progress of the team I am waiting to hear it.......

Being six games under 500 and having the leagues highest payroll, while repeating the same dumb moves again doesn't really put light at the end of the tunnel

Look at it this way...the hard part is over...The center and PFs could possibly be in house...Young PG's are easy to get these days for some reason...These are pieces we can build on...If we do nothing, not likely tho, the Knicks will be under the cap...This team for once in quite some time looks like it has a future...

you can say the hard part is over, but Isiah is dumb, the organization is dumb, they never rent a player for a year....

Matt Caroll costs nothing, Cato costs nothing but its too late, Mikey Moore cost nothing, there are role players all over this league, and players that would kill to play in the garden, that would break their necks out there, but we keep making stupid moves and adding contracts......

We have close to 40 million in contracts tied up that we can't move when we supposedly get cap space, craw, jj12, and Q and they are not getting us a lot of wins, q helps but he may not be healthy by then....

Holfresh, IF Isiah doesn't make any signings between now and the end of 2009 then you are right, we will be under the cap, but that is a BIG IF.

The hard part is becoming a contender. The easy part is to clear out pieces and build a base. All it took Isiah was half a billion in salaries and trading away 4 potential lottery picks.

The smart way would have been to get to this point and have the pieces to get yourself over the hump.

The Isiah way is to hope that you can use the MLE and other teams overvaluing our one dimensional role players in the trade market.
