"I think I (deserve) it," Curry said. "On a nightly basis, I see a lot of faces out there on the court from a lot of people who don't really want to guard me. So I think I deserve it."

What ever happened to being humble and making your actions speak for yourself? Plus with our record and Isiah (NBA Bad Guy) as coach the chances of him really being in the Allstar game this year are not good.

Offensively, Eddy is an all-star, he's the focus of the defense every night and he still gets his 20+.

The problem is, I don't think he realizes yet that he has to play the other side of the ball a little before being considered an all-star. But if its between Curry and a guy like Antawn Jamison - Curry should go.

everyone knows how one dimensional he is. Center is one of the most important (if not the most important) positions on defense. You are after all the man in the middle

He's an all star on the offense maybe, for his scoring, but his defense is so bad, it completely negates the offense.

I don't care about what he does offensively. Mark Blount has been scoring like a monster too. Doesn't mean ****. Curry is the Glen Robinson of the center postion. I mean seriously the guy averages 0.5 blocks per game playing almost 35 mpg. It's a two way game baby. What you get on one side you can't give up on the other. Curry does realize that yet.

Glenn Robinson is great comparison too. I've been saying a center version somewhere between Allan Houston and Hubert Davis. I think Glenn was better, though, for his position (a better scorer and rebounder for his position). And center (and maybe PF too) is the most important position on defense like Fish said.

I like the Glenn Robinson comparisson. Difference with that is that curry wants to get better and curry is probably a better person overall.

Mark blount is way off base though. Blount is waste cuz he is way more athletic and long than curry.

Curry is getting his points but at the same time he is not really dominating. Curry still isn't just that automatic.

I think curry will be voted on next year but he has to improve off of this year. I want him to make it but I think he needs to be snubbed this year. I don't want him to think he's finally made it. Yeah he needs to get better defensively but at the same time he needs to continue to get more automatic on offense.

On offense how could you possibly even say that? Did is dropping like 25 a game lately even with double triple teams? What would you say is dominating the offensive end if he isnt?

Eddy is dominating on the offensive. He's shooting 60% against double/triple teams and getting better at turnovers and passing out. It's his defense that needs work. He's no Glenn Robinson. I think a young Gasol is a better comparison.

Curry is close I said, but yeah he is not dominating yet. It looks easy but its more like him taking what he can get. When curry is off he is a non factor.

Dominating is when having below 20 is rare and when guys start saying that holding him under 25 was an accomplishment.

If curry is dominating so is Crawford. Craw has been the driving force on this team yet guys want him traded and I'm one of them.

When curry comes in and is a walking 25 point performance then the D word should be attached. Until then no way can you say he dominates.

If Eddy believes he is an all-star he should work on hiw weaknesses and prove everyone wrong. The second haalf of the season should be not just points but rebounds and intimidation too.

Curry is 29th in scoring. He's not dominating. And he's well below average for a center in rebounding and blocking shots.

If he makes an all star team it will be because of a lack of options at the center position in the eastern conference. Not because he's one of the best players in the game.
"On a nightly basis, I see a lot of faces out there on the court from a lot of people who don't really want to guard me."

I'm sure Curry is very aware of that face since he shaves it every day.

Im only talking about offense, as that is the context that "dominating" came up. Now you guys want to bring up defense. But thats a different conversation. Curry is 29th in scoring but who averages more points a game at that position? Yao? Amare? You want to say he dont play D then that cool, but at least admit the guy is a walking 20+ that completely dominates the post. Please, just admit it.

I've heard Curry say in interviews that he knows he needs a lot of work on his defense. I think we need to be a bit more patient with him. The guy just turned 24 and can score 20 points without sweating, so I think it's worth being patient to see what becomes of his overall game. He seems like a fairly level-headed guy who is interested in improving.

To me, it's getting bit old hearing the same old stuff said about him. We all know that Curry is very good on offense and very bad on defense. But it's far better than last year, when he was not that good on offense and very bad on defense. I have faith he will improve.

I never hear people make these defensive gripes about Steve Nash who is also a very poor defender. Granted, he's phenomenal on the offensive side (where Eddy is just good), but he is very much a one way player. Why the double standard?

It's probably because of their respective positions. Centers are typically expected to get blocks and rebounds.

Exactly. Your center is in the "middle" on defense. He has to gaurd his man and cover up other teammates' mistakes by rotating to help. You can get away with a PG who's poor on defense to some extent but not a center who's poor on defense. It's like asking why people don't kill some 1st basemen for having poor throwing arms but they do criticize 3rd basemen for the same thing. Different positions require different skills. Also, Nash is just not as athletic as a lot of PGs. He doesn't have the lateral speed they do. There's not a lot he can do about that. Eddy's problem in contrast is that he's fat for an NBA player. There's a lot he could do about that, as he showed in his contract year.
