I was just looking at some kids in the NBDL and doing some research on them and there were a few guys I say that were intriguing. One that was the most intriguing was Jawad Wiliams(24) http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=20. Intiriguing if we wanted to make Q a permanent 2 and use Craw as a swingman for the 1 and 2 off the bench. He is second in the NBDL in scoring (19 per and 4 rebs per).

Some other options I saw were
BJ Elder http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/bj_elder/index.html?nav=page
Devin Green http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/devin_green/index.html?nav=page
Jeremy Richardson http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/jeremy_richardson/index.html?nav=page
Renaldo Major http://www.nba.com/dleague/statistics/2006/default_regular_season_leaders/LeagueLeadersPPGQuery.html?topic=0&stat=0
Mike Hall http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/mike_hall/index.html?nav=page

These are guys that are doing really well in the -League and could make excellent projects.

GS just picked up Renaldo Major,Kelenna Azubuike(scored 28pts last night) and sac-town picked up a shot blocker Justin Williams I believe that's his name.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

even if he did the stud would ride the bench behind Jared Jeffries and then we would allow him to sign with another team so he could flourish like barnes, udoka and then we'll sign Corliss Williamson for the full MLE

Jawad Williams and BJ Elder were some major players on big time college teams. Jawad has some pretty good athleticism- I'm surprised he didn't stick in the NBA initially.

NBDL blocks per 48 minutes:

http://www.nba.com/dleague/statistics/2006/default_regular_season_48_minute_leaders/LeagueLeadersBLK8Query.html?topic=1&stat=11

not sure what's up with some of the guys on there (julius hodge?) but outside of a few errors some good names up there. looking down the list:

louis amundson- pretty sure he's unaffiliated with an NBA team i.e. available, but i thought he was more of a david lee type workhorse than a shotblocker

justin williams- he's with the kings now, but he was available for a while i thought

deji akindele- remember hearing about him as a college shotblocker maybe, looks like he's still doing it in limited minutes in the D league. not sure if a team owns him

Theres a guy on that list that I would LOVE to have.

Pops Mensah-Bonsu

He can score a bit, he can rebound, he can block shots. Would love to bring him onto this team

He belongs to the Mavs. Pops, that is. He got sent down because he wont get any playing time on Dallas.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Jeremy Richardson http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/jeremy_richardson/index.html?nav=page
Without the assistance of an agent-- his father still handled his business for him as late as last week—Jeremy Richardson found his way onto a D-League team after being shrewdly selected in the 2^nd round by the Fort Worth Flyers. Since then, he’s averaging 18.5 points on 47% shooting from the field and 40% from the 3-point line. He was one of the hottest names amongst NBA scouts during the D-League Showcase in Sioux Falls, and it really wouldn’t shock anyone if he were to be called up this season once non-NBA playoff teams start bringing up players with upside that they want to take a look at. DraftExpress.com

“He's got a body like Rawle Marshall, and a game like Rip Hamilton” says D-League Senior Coordinator of Basketball Operations Brandon Barnett. “Jeremy Richardson is the wing player with the most upside in our league” says *Director of Basketball Operations Chris Alpert. You think *they like him in the D-League? After watching him play twice and sitting down with him between games, it’s not hard to tell why. DraftExpress.com

6-7, 190.

Get this Kid. Maybe we don't need to move Frye for a wing. That is some high praise for this kid.

Another one bites the dust.....

Hawks To Sign Jeremy Richardson To 10-Day Deal
24th January, 2007 - 2:55 pm
Press Release -
Jeremy Richardson has been called up by the Atlanta Hawks for a 10-day contract, according to DraftExpress.com.

Richardson was with his team, the Fort Worth Flyers, on a road trip in Boise, Idaho when he learned of the news this morning, and will fly out to Atlanta on Thursday evening to sign a contract and join the Hawks. He will not be playing in tonight’s game against the Idaho Stampede.

According to Richardson, his team’s trainer knocked on his hotel door this morning asking him to call their coach, Sidney Moncrief. He said he was “worried I might have done something wrong in their last game,” before being surprised with the good news. Richardson told us that the call-up to the Hawks “came as a total shock,” and was “the last thing on my mind.”

Fellow former D-Leaguer Dijon Thompson, who was called up by the Hawks on January 4th, will be subsequently released following two consecutive 10-day contracts. [READ]

We're talking the only way I trust Isiah to find a player mid-season that doesn't tempt him to take on $50 mil over the next 4 years.

If I were the owner, you'd be my GM.

Then after you put it all together, I'd fire you just for fun!
