The next 20 games will be brutal. How many games will we win? To close the month of January, the Knicks play 9 games in 14 daysand the first 8 are against teams that made the playoffs last year. In all of february we play just 11 games but nine of them are against likely playoff teams this year. In this stretch of 20 games 12 are on the road including the 4 'easy' opponents (Cha, Bos, Phi, GS) January at Washington New Jersey at Indiana at Miami Phoenix Miami at Milawaukee L.A. Lakers atCharlotte February at Orlando L.A. Clippers at Utah at L.A. Lakers at Golden State Orlando at Philadelphia Milwaukee at New Jersey Miami at Boston
0-2 victories
3-5 victories
6-8 victories
9-11 victories
12+ victories

6-14

6 games out of first place and a playoff spot.

It's a tough stretch.

according to my preseason mock schedule

January
at Washington - L
New Jersey - L
at Indiana - L
at Miami - L
Phoenix - L
Miami - L
at Milawaukee - W
L.A. Lakers - W
at Charlotte - L

19-29 at the end of january

February
at Orlando - L
L.A. Clippers - W
at Utah - L
at L.A. Lakers - L
at Golden State - L
Orlando - W
at Philadelphia - W
Milwaukee - W
at New Jersey - L
Miami - L
at Boston - W

to come to 24-35 by the end of february

this doesn't take into account injuries, trades, tanking teams, etc. so 24-35, i would say would be the lower end of the spectrum (most likely). probably more like 26-33 or 27-32.

I'll be satisfied with 7, happy with 8 and ecsatatic if we can get 9 or more.

6 or less would likely off our playoff hopes.

satisfied with 7 - 24-35
happy with 8 - 25-34
ecstatic with 26+ wins

now, i'm a hater and look at everything negatively. yet we both have them at 24-35 by the end of march. now that's funny.

i don't think a sub .500 team makes it unless they are the atlantic division winner so we need to win it. toronto has a VERY favorable schedule coming up so they can put some space between them and both us and nj.

I see about 3-4wins. The teams on the schedule will be close to full strength(exception Milwaukee). No gimmie victories like they managed to get so far in Miami and Grizz 2. I agree with DJ maybe 1 les win because the team will not win more than 35 gms this yr. 33 wins is the inevitable.

Being a hater isn't about predicting wins and losses. I predicted 38 wins. Must make me a hater too.

So are you saying I should expect us to win half the upcoming games? Check the teams we're up against I don't think we have the ability to do it. If we do, YES, i will be ecstatic because thet'll mean we've passed the toughest stretch of games and still on track to win 38.

9 up 11 down

only 30% of respondents thought we'd win that many games.

losses to Boston and Philly damper my enthusiasm.

Wow, so you predicted at this point in the season we'd be on pace to win like ~36 games? Frikken wild, dude. You have a real talent!

A bit too pessimistic for my taste though, a real fan would have predicted ~37 wins.
