Don’t look now
January 14

I’m staring at the schedule, which is a common locker room practice no matter what the players say. I’m thinking the recent flirtation with .500 might be fleeting unless the Knicks are up for a little more high drama.

They need to beat Sacramento tomorrow afternoon to regain some momentum because it’s about to get bumpy again.

Another difficult stretch begins in Washington. Next comes a back-to-back, home against New Jersey and on the road against Indiana. Good luck. They follow up with two games against Miami, home and away, sandwiched around a visit by Phoenix.

So do you sign up for 2-4 right now?

In order to prove they are getting better, Isiah Thomas and the Knicks probably need to do something unexpted again.

There is one more lineup change on the way, which isn’t likely to complicate matters.

We don’t have any specifics, but it sounds like Quentin Richardson is going to start while Jamal Crawford is heading to the bench. It’ll bring a little more stability to the first and second units.

“There’s going to be an adjustment,” Thomas said this afternoon following practice. “There’s going to be a period where we probably tinker and make one more change now that I think Richardson’s got his legs back under him. We can get back to playing the way we envisioned down in training camp.”

ok...does that mean quentin starts at the sg and crawford goes the bench?
or does that mean marbury/crawford/quentin start and jeffries to the bench?
and when he says "envisioned down in training camp", does he mean francis AND marbury will start again?
and didn't isiah say we weren't going to make any changes for 5 games?

That sucks. Everybody knows who should come out of the line up. JJ2 isn't even playing good D anymore. Hopefully JJ2 goes to the bench and he takes Frye with him. HOw many games do this two get to work out of there "funks"?????

I think we can totally ignore what isiah says in the media. He's not telling the truth and we all know it at least by now.

All I want to see is the productive players play and the slumpies benched. What more can you ask?

Lee, Q, curry, marbs and craw are the knicks best players and the play very well together.

Balkman, Jared, frye, Nate, and the rest are role guys.

Its not rocket science.

In this article he said "a couple games". They went on to play Philly and Charlotte but still you can sense Zeke is panicing and like I said 2 weeks ago, he's coahcing this team by feel, on the fly, paper, rock, scissors, drawing straws, pick a number between 1-100, rolling dice, instead of by a Focal Philosophy. Pretty quick trigger considering the team won 1 out of 2 of those games.

In this article he said it would take Q and Nate 5-6 games to catch up.

I think Isiah said hewould wait 10 games to tell the truth, things change........ I wish they would change for JJ2, Frye and Marbury. Everything stays the same no matter what they do.

Here's what this bum said in Novemeber a game against the Wolves

Thomas said maybe the change "would be the thing that puts us over the hump." For one night, it was the thing that got them blasted out of Target Center in a 107-89 disgrace to the 4-6 Wolves.

http://www.nypost.com/seven/11232006/sports/knicks/chump_change_knicks_marc_berman.htm

Here Zeke made a lineup change due to who they were playing and not making teams match up to him. Once again coaching by feel.

"If we were playing against another team, we might not be too quick to make this move," Thomas said."

Here's the article where he makes the "a couple of games" remark and then goes on to define what "a couple of games" meant.

At some point, Thomas will have to decide whether Richardson is better off starting at shooting guard or small forward - a decision that will affect Crawford, Jeffries, Frye and David Lee.

"I just want to see where everyone's at before I prejudge," Thomas said. "We'll need at least four or five games to see where everybody's at."

Pathological Liar at his best. Funny what 1 loss will do to a team in particular the coach.

this is ridiculous. Jefferies and QRich clearly belong in the rotation and both were out for long stretches. of course it's going to take a couple of games to find the best combination - how does this make Isiah a liar again?

I love the outrage here, where's the :rolls eyes: emoticon?

Because it appears he may make a line-up change tomorrow, when he said on the 8-9th that he wouldn't pre-judge until they have played 4 or 5gms. Therefore he shouldn't be looking at line-up changes until the team plays New Jersey on Friday.

Based on last game. I think Isiah goes with the rotation of Marbury,Q,Jefferies,Frye,Curry. With Nate,Crawford,Lee off the bench. Though I wouldn't mind if he played Cato some more spot up mins at backup center. We seemed to play solid defense when he was in as a sub during the suspensions.

Me personally I would probably go with Marbury,Crawford,Q,Frye,Curry with intentions to sub in real early. To finish with a 8 man rotation. Nate in for Marbury. Jefferies in for Crawford or Q. Lee in for Frye or Curry.

Marbury 30mins, Nate 18
Crawford 30mins,
Richarson 30mins, Jefferies 30mins
Frye 30mins, Lee 30mins
Curry 30mins
Cato & Balkman in case injury, foul trouble, technicals, or matchups

i still don't see how starting frye is justified. he has a good J, that's it. if Q is back, there's no need for the offense frye provides.

marbury, crawford, Q, lee, and curry w/ frye, jeffries, cato, balkman, and the rest of isiah's stooges (nate, jerome big snacks james, and mardy) for late inning heroics when we're down 30 in MSG and isiah needs to "keep people out of the paint."

Well this the type of debate I wanted to make last year about brown cuz he was a billion times worse that isiah.

At least this year we can visibly see who the retards are. Isiah is mildly retarded.

I think the knicks are 1 solid trade away from being a major contender. Whether that be upgrading the 2 or 4.

If you really think the Knicks are one big trade away from the big show then is Isiah really retarded??

Clarity is cool.

Im agreeing with you a lot these days.

I think if we can reduce our numerical talent and enrich one of our positions we can move to 2nd tier status. That would be a huge upgrade.

Isiah is truly the dumbass here. The problem is he can't really go off on the GM when its him who hath created this!

In the end, Last year was destined to happen regardless of who coached.

Who won? 7 mil from Detroit and 28.5 from the knicks. The winner is Larry!

isiah SHOULD change the lineup. q is one of our best players. its not a good idea to bring him off the bench in my opinion. there has to be some defense in the starting lineup. I kind of like the idea of cato starting over frye, to shore up the interior d.

I'm down with starting cato cuz he is in shape and mobile enough. Thing is if you do that then what does that say about frye.

That's why I say the knicks have to trade him ASAP cuz he has good value now. Maybe the knicks can get a good player that would fit better. Toronto got TJ ford for charlie v. Can channing pull either player right now?

Right now the knicks are looking to get better. Channing is a streak shooter. A freakin streak shooter. He isn't a post player. Isiah doesn't post him cuz he can't post. Just cuz the dude can guy a hook with either hand doesn't mean he can post up and get it off. He doesn't. He has no ball handling ability outside of taking one dribble to shoot his jumpshot. Channing was supposed to be a decent shotblocker. What happened to that? What a freakin retard!

Anyway.
