Hinrich or Nate

I've been saying this stuff about Nate for the past year. That he's incredibily immature. That he's a punk. That he's nothing more than a spark plug role player off the bench. But when I said it, I get called a racist by some. Because I liked Hinrich better than Nate, it made me a racist. Who here wouldn't trade Hinrich for Nate straight up?

Of course I would take Heinrich, but he's just a flat out better player on both ends of the court. I still love Nate, but Kirk just knows how to run an offense and plays tough defense and he can shoot the rock too. If Nate can learn to do the defense and offense running, then maybe we'll talk a little business about keeping Nate instead of Heinrich, but for now give me Kirk.

I really like Hinrich, I wish he was the PG of this team.

not at all. Heinrich is a nice rock solid point guard that plays tough D'. He's not dominating at his position like Shaq is/was, and Nate isn't a scrub like Doleac either. (Although I always have liked Doleac.)

No way. Nate has infinately better tools and is as good a shooter as Hinrich is. It's only an ufair comparison if you count it as a 2nd year player against a 4th(?) year player.

Are you serious? We're talking about playing the PG position. Not only is Nate playing with a few cards short of a deck, and a few inches shorter as well...he is NOT a PG. There is a reason he is not a starter and that he can only play in limited spurts. He is not a full-time player. Short is a word that encompasses Nate:

- Short attention span
- Short leash
- Short fuse
- Short pants
- Short contract

28 games = 42 assists
28 games= 39 to's

If I wasn't serious, I woulda used Smileys more.

This is not that far off.

Nate has more potential. This is a case of High ceiling later vs. Lower ceiling but consistent player now.

Everything you said about Nate is true, but he still has the tools to be better than Hinrich.

He's faster, he is stronger, he's more athletic. He is a good jumpshooter. Nate can jump out of the gym. He is as good a ball handler as Kirk.

There are 2 things Kirk has that Nate doesn't. Height and maturity.

This is rich stuff...Heinrich All-American, Lottery Pick, All-Rookie, Takes the starting job from Crawford, putting up nice numbers and performing well in the playoffs, Vs. Nate.

Jesus what a dumb question.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

hinrich is starting his 4th year
nate is starting his second

hinrich is a starter
nate comes off the bench

hinrich gets 35 something minutes
nate gets 20 something minutes

hinrich may have apple pie taste
nate leaves you with bad taste

in a perfect world and some fantasy leagues hinrich is hands down
actually, i perfer hinrich over nate too

I think Hinrih stinks, but this question is absurd.

Martin and Andrew should attach a breathalyser machine to Isle's keyboard before allowing him to start threads again...

Wait, you guys mean that liking Hinrich's game better than Nate's is just an obvious and legitimate basketball observation? It doesn't make one a racist?

If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

At least I make sense when I'm sober.
