How would you rank the following players? I've tried to exclude the obvious.
a. David Lee
b. Channing Frye
c. Eddy Curry
d. Nenad Krstic
e. Andrew Bogut
f. Andrew Bynum
g. Tyrus Thomas
h. LaMarcus Aldridge
i. Andrea Bargnani
j. Hakim Warrick
k. Andris Biedrins

I apologize for such a large list. The above is not my order (that's why I used letters, instead of numbers). I wanted to get other's takes on this before I throw mine in the ring.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

how is this ranking done? ranking based on the players they are now, or the players we think they may become at their peak?

To the people who ranked Ty Thomas over Frye how did you all come up with that Conclusion? Frye put up 30 a couple of times during his rookie season and I don't recall Ty Thomas putting up double digits at all. I need an explanation.

So thats the only qualification of ranking someone better, is 30pt games?

Don't let the fact that Tyrus Thomas plays on a much better team than Frye was playing on last year which kills his minutes. The people that share the same position as Tryrus on the roster include Loul Deng, Andres Nocini, and PJ Brown. Don't let those minor facts enter your mind though.

Too early for this thread.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

How about comparing our young frontline to other teams?

Which teams have a better young trio?

Did you watch the game last night versus the Nets? I saw PJ Brown running around out there looking like one of those zombies off of Resident Evil. He looked dead in the water so if Tryus can't get in the game in front of him I would have to say he's not that good. It was one particular play where he was in positon to get the rebound but his feet looked as if they were stuck in glue needless to say the opposing player go the ball and the nets were off the other way. The Knicks record last year this time was like 13-21 while the Bulls have a record of 20-17. How much better are they?

Why limit it to that? How about other teams youth in general?

Ok so you chose one player and neglected the other two. What about him not getting time ahead of Nocioni as well as Loul Deng, who are pretty darn good players. Rookies very rarely playing in the NBA. Factor in that Skiles is an old-school coach who doesnt like to play young players, the kid isn't going to play.

^^So my question remains the same How do you evaluate him being better then Frye when you have hardly seen how he can contribute at this juncture of his NBA career?

The question asked is who has more potential, NOT who is better at this time. Even with limited minutes, I think Tyrus Thomas would be putting up the same stats as Frye was, if he was given Frye's minutes.

I put Tyrus Thomas ahead of Frye because I believe he has much more potential than just being a jumpshooter. Tyrus is a very active rebounder, shot blocker, good around the basket and also has a halfway decent jumpshot. Sue me if I think he has more potential than Frye does who I believe will be a jumpshooter his whole career.

But you still cut him from your squad!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
