Time to light a match! Yo. Ariza gets a few games where he gets, well, similiar stats he got when he got big minutes here? Ok. The guy still dribbles like a retard, and couldn't take his man if he was gay playing blouses and skins game in the middle of the gay pride parade. Barnes just dropped 36 pts. He did it more than once. He has been simply playing big time basketball. He was traded for who? Barnes right now would fill exactly what the knicks need. Oh yeah in that 36 point performance the mofo hit 7-10 from three. Now how you love that?!?!

By the way, only way ariza would hit 36 in a game is about 15 years from now on his birthday!

LOL!

I dunno man, Barnes had his chance on the Knicks, and he showed us nothing. Cnat really blame us for letting him go. It would be nice to have him bombing from three land tho.

Any of these guys combined with Butler would've been better for the team.

yeah, i was never overly impressed w/Matt Barnes, & neither was anyone else around here... we can't bemoan the fact that he's putting up #'s on another team now.

I agree can't really fault them. Reminds me of when we let Doug Christie go and he went on to have a decent career

I under the impression that many marginal players can't produce in NYC even though they go to other cities and have productive careers.

That is why starks before his injuries was such an awesome player.

Matt Barnes is from Sacremento Calif native, played on a few teams on the eastcoast recently including the knicks and just didn't cut it, about 5 teams overall.

He goes out west(do or die) situation for his career and hooks up with Nellie and the Warriors ..... wa-la straight up Killer ball player.

Was it the system he's playing in now that enhanced his season ?
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Yes. Nellie is a master of maximizing his player's offensive talents. Remember him with the Bucks?

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

hindsight, barnes was here and had his time on a lot of teams. The fact he is having a few good games doesn't make him a killer ball player.
If he continues then maybe, Ariza's dribble makes him suspect, dribbling is hard to improve. You just kinda of have to know how to dribble (inate skills)

Barnes, Matt F GS
News: Having totaled just 510 points in his first three NBA seasons, Matt Barnes had 301 points in his first two months as a Warrior, then exploded for 29 and 36 on Tuesday and Wednesday in his first two games of 2007. His 36-point total in Wednesday's 144-135 loss at Memphis was a career-high.

Barnes added seven boards, five assists, a steal and two blocks on wednesday to go along with the 36 pts.

These are not #'s for some scrub to produce

Those numbers that Barnes is putting up are just remarkable.

Blame it all on Larry brown, lol. The lost season.

I'm not tring to take away from Barnes' numbers the other night, as he has been playing out of his mind and desereves the kudos, but he was 7-16 from 3-point range, not 7-10. Slight difference. That obviously NEVER would've happened here. I actually wonder how many times as player has shot more 3's in a game than that.
"It was good," Curry said. "I killed Malik, Jerome. The usual suspects. It felt good."

Golden State is playing Nellie-ball. No way that Barnes does that on a normal team. He has been doing really well and I liked the fact that we had him last year.

Is anyone else worried that all these guys we had last year and got cut or we didn't bring back(I'm talking younger guys not the Jalen Roses' and Mo Taylor's)but Ime, Ariza, Barnes, Butler all are either overperforming or were taken on by teams that are very young and developing?

Not worried at all. And you forgot DerMarr Johnson went on to start a lot of games for Denver last year after we didn't bring him back.

It's called having a GM with a good eye for talent. These guys were brought here because Isiah thought they were NBA ready. Ime, Ariza, Barnes, Butler, DerMarr... we had to bring in all these fringe young players with talent and its a credit to Isiah that most of the guys he brought in are still in the league.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

You know who else let those guys go? the REST of the NBA.

with the exception of Johnson..none of those players were first round draft picks. and Barnes has played for like 5 teams in 3 years (or something like that).
