Yeah, Tommy Heinsohn makes for a much better commentator when watching games.

As excited as he got over the Suns hoops I figured he worked for them. :)
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I don't mind him. He questioned some of Kenny Smith's dumb statements tonight. He is def not a homer though if that is what you want. He is good enough that the NBA hired him for Channel 4 when they had the games. Can't be that bad.

Actually, he was good enough once Marv became Munchin Marv. Marv had all the top spots and lost it all went the story came out with the underwear, Breen is just an opportunist. No knock on him, but when he is your home commentator, you actually want to hear him pulling for the team to do well. He doesnt have to stop being objective, just no who your audience is. I vote to head across the river and bring Marv back home where he belongs. Send breen to work in NJ.

I dont know what you guys have against Breen. Yea he sucks up to the league a lot but he calls a great game and tells it like it is unlike Gus who is just flat out annoying and a major homer when he is on msg

I don't think Breen's issue is the Knicks. He seems like a wannabe league official. He'd like to be a head ref or with Stu Jackson in the rule enforcement office. He seems to resent the evolution of the game into a "player's league" and he's probably the type who's always chiding his fellow broadcasters for going out on the road and not studying up on their game notes.

He's a bit if a stuffed shirt trying to be the "consummate professional."

I happen to think he's pretty good, but he definitely needs to expand his repertoire, and I can see how/why he rubs people the wrong way.

Listening to Gus makes the game exciting even if he is a little overboard with the homer questions he asks his fellow commentators some times.

In the last game I recall an Tayshawn Prince pushing Jamal Crawford to the floor in what was obviously a foul and Breen says heads up play for Prince! He actually agreed with the non call, with Crawford still doubled over on the floor.
Breen needs to be on the next bus outta here.

Breen does a pretty good job. Kenny Smith is horrible. I like the job Mark Jackson does for the Nets. How come all of the good ex Knick employees now work for the Nets?
