I dont think this guy is THAT valuable on the D that he can be an absolute Chris Dudley on the Offense... hes a SF not a Center... I dont know if he makes that much of a difference on D...

Hopefully he will pick it up but im not seeing enough from him lately

He has his pluses and minus's but he kills our offesive chemistry that leads to fast breaks the other way. Lee is our glue and needs to start. Isiah is afraid of success or something
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

With few exceptions, Isiah awards minutes based on salary.

Trying to justify the MLE, IMO. He should be our 6th or 7th man. Lee is a bit turnover prone, yeah, but he's much less of a liability on offense and our best rebounder AND he complements Eddy more.

Hopefully, Zeke recognizes it as adjusts accordingly.

What did you expect? He's a worst liability on offense than Ben Wallace, except without all the other intagibles Wallace adds to a team. I'm not disappointed in Jeffries. I'm disappointed Zeke signed him to that contract. He'll be benched soon and Zeke will wing it/coach by feel with the line-up some more.

You guys don't know what you're talking about. Jeffries is the Savior. Isiah said so. And Isiah is God, at least in his mind, so you'd think that he'd know what he's talking about.

Lee should start. Go big. Lee is shorter than Jeffries but he plays way bigger.

We probably would have made a better showing against the Suns in the first quarter going big.

1) Start Curry, Frye, and Lee every game.
2) Run pick and rolls where you dont ignore the roller
3) If something works milk it till the other team adjusts wjether ists post ups, pick and pops, pick and roles or isolations.
4) On posts ups dont stand and watch so your man can double. Cut to to the hoop or clear out. If you just stand there you make it easy!
5) Work some high lows with Frye.
6) If guys are going to front throw some lobs to the hoop

Thats all that stands between us and 500. Isiah needs to get to work

Frye is being underutilized. he should be putting it on the floor, posting in, working that jump hook, running the lanes in transition, etc.

Jeffries is okay but he's another one of these guys who float in and out of positions owning none. I find lee and Balkman pay better dividends in those roles. Better noses for the ball.

Having a couple of "interchangeable" guys is nice, but you need some specialists too - like a guy who can shoot the lights out.

I am not impressed either. He is taking Lee minutes. Plus the guy thinks he is a guard, he dribbles too much. I am glad he handles better than most 6'11" guys. But give the ball to your guards.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

He is very average. He cant shoot, not a great rebounder, and free throws are atrocious. He has been in the leave 5 years so we know what he can do.

This is what happens when a man falls in love with Stephon Marbury and becomes the Adopter parent to Curry. I don't think Marbury wanted him to adopt Curry though and that's why you have this incohesiveness(sp?)

Jeffries D, which I have yet to really see, esp. on the help-end of it, is SUSPECT at best...in fact, his offense is so bad that it completely offsets any D he supplies. We needed to score tonight and he should not have really been out there for an extensive pd. of time. He missed several gimmmes. AND, I do not understand why he elects to handle the ball when Marbury and Crawford are at his side on the break. Plus, Isiah really should have not changed what works for us, which was an SL of JC, SM, Lee, Curry and Frye. Against Detroit, Jeffries was a bonehead for not giving the fould we HAD to give on Tayshaun- which ultimately led to that Delfino 3. The game would have not went to any OT, nonetheless 3OTs. Jeffries is not the type of guy who has some type of "upside"...he is what he is and very honestly, Jeffries kinda sucks. His offensive ineptitude in terms of scoring, passing, moving without the ball, etc. kills this team (as does Francis).

The team thrives when its cohesive and because its a youthful group, when baskets are made and the ball is shared, the team becomes inspired to help eachother on the defensive end. Consistently missed FT's by Jared as well as shots that HS players can make is a real downer. I am starting to think that Balkman can do the same damn things as Jeffries...at least Balkman is a rook and still has upside.

It may not seem this way, but despite the lack of D in the front court, the line-up is way more cohesive on both ends of the floor with Lee starting vs. Jeffries (along w/ Frye, JC, Marbs, Curry). Isiah should not disrupt that because he thinks Jeffries is some type of defensive stopper with multiple skills. The bottom line is that the Knicks are in the business of winning games, and you use what consistently works and wins, even if it was only for 4 of 5 games. Isiah should not change something just because he made Jared Jeffries in to some type of messiah.

Jeffries = bench player...take a seat next to Francis, my friend!

I agree Quennie! Jeffries is a bench role player at best. Like a Quentin Ross on the paperclips. Can't see him stealing Lee minutes or even worse when Q gets back.
