Its like 1pm now and no game thread yet?

Can the knicks knock out 2 powerhouses in back to back games?

Why do the knicks have to defend the suns to win? How about the suns have to defend the knicks?

Amare is going to destroy curry but the same could easily be said about curry to the suns. I'm definately looking forward to it.

Marbs should be able to torch Nash all day. Still nash is gonna get his. Awesome matchup.

To tell you the truth this game is evenly matched. I think the knicks have the same advantages that people think the suns have on the knicks.

Curry should dominate, no one on their team can guard him. JJ or Lee should kepp Marion in check. Frye owes us a big game for his stinker last year, he was like 3 for 17 or something.

Steph vs. Nash is gonna be a classic, Steph is gonna torch him, but will his D be able to hold Nash in check?

Craw should do well as well. They are not a good defensive team, we should be able to score at will.

HERES THE PROBLEM: We play zone and these guys shoot the 3 very well PLUS, our interior d is weak and Amare and Nash have the best pick and ROLL in the game bar none.

Our offense isn't as potent as theirs, but if Curry can dominate early and get guys in foul trouble and force double teams, we should be sitting pretty.

Just play hard and I'll be happy, no ne expects them to win.

I think the key is imposing our will. We can't get into a gunslinging battle with them because they are the best at that, but we need to make sure we do what we are best at. Dominate the boards. Make them small. Establish Curry and out work them.
I just hope that people will like me

Queeniepop's Thoughts on this game:

I want to say they'll win, the kool-aid I've drank
Will the Knicks prevail or are they playing a prank?
We shall see, we shall see, is the approach I take
How many 3-pointers will the blazing Suns make?
Nash will penetrate, to Bell he will kick
Pick and roll with Amare, Barbosa is quick
Marion the Matrix, he's an athletic freak
Crazy Eyes Kurt will make Curry look weak
Will Jalen appear for extended garbage time?
Are you ready for tip-off at the hour of Nine?
An exciting game versus the Suns of Phoenix
What will become of the New York Knicks?

We need to kill them on the offensive boards. They are a fast breaking team that plays small. Lee, Balkman, and Curry should have a field day on put backs.

If we limit their second chance attempts and Curry gets going, I think we win this game.

Why 50? Maybe he should set up his teammates and not look for his shot. I think Marbs should have between 15-25 pts and 8-12 assists. This would greatly help our team versus him scoring all those points.

AGREED. I was discussing this with someone yesterday. David Lee could have 20/20 on this night. The backcourt matches up nicely. The front court is highly suspect...I say Jeffries guards Marion. Frye on Diaw??? Suspect. Curry on Amare...SUSPECT? I would hope that the guards get Amare in foul trouble. I would also hope that we play a slow down game and pound it inside. We need to press and trap Nash. Or we double on Amare and make Nash a scorer. Either way, Frye and Jamal best be on fire because they will have open looks.

I think Marbury goes for at least 5. I dunno about Frye though.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Knicks +13. I'm taking it. I'm praying the boys can keep up the good play, especially with Phoenix playing the second night of a back to back. Anyone else want to make easy money tonight ?
"It was good," Curry said. "I killed Malik, Jerome. The usual suspects. It felt good."

Their pick and roll is going to kill us and we are plain awful at defending that as is. I think our best shot would be Lee on Amare and Steph on Nash because of their quickness.

Curry makes me laugh when he defends the pick and roll -- he tries to step out to block the guards penetration and ends up setting a double screen on our guard and letting his man roll right to the hoop forcing another big to help.

When Balkman is in the game you could put him on Marion and try Jefferies on Nash. At least it'll give us length against the pick and roll and he can switch on Amare if need be.

Do we play zone and let them kill us from the outside and give up second chances? I say no but mix it in for a few posessions throughout the game.

On offense, pound it in to Curry on the first 10 posessions and let him draw some quick fouls on Amare.

They will score at will but so should we. It should be interesting.

remember how hot he had been going into that game? then larry tried to establish him on the blocks in phoenix to take advantage of his height and discouirage him from going to the outside jumper so quickly. plus he might have been nerved up from returning to arizona.

i think isiah's going to keep going to his strength. having a 6'11" guy able to drain the jumper like that is just a killer weapon. i'd set it up all night. that should clear some room underneath for curry to get deep position, for steph to drive and for lee and balkman to get putbacks and alley-oops.

did i just actually make a serious post about the knicks? my bad.
