Frye finally had a Frye-type game and really has been playing well for the past 5-6 games (starting before the ankle injury). This is why IT likes him in the starting unit. When his jumper is on, he is a good compliment to Curry. Also, if our guards would get him the ball down low on a more consistent basis, he would be a awesome low post option for this team. You alternate running the offense through Curry and Frye on the blcok and this team will score at a high percentage. IT hopes that starting JJ2 and Q will provide the perimeter defense to balance out the starting lineup.

First off, you can't make someone untradeable based on one game.
With that said, some of the trades are ridiculous. I've seen Frye as a throw in just to make the numbers work in some cases.
Don't go throwing him away, but if the right offer comes along, I'd ship him off no problem.

I still would trade Frye if a deal for a PG or a SG came around. Lee is the PF of the Knicks future.

Not saying he should be untradeable, but people have been suggesting just giving the guy away to get marginal talent back as if he was a journeyman player. The kid has the talent to be a legitimate starting PF/C and perhaps a borderline all-star if he keeps improving all aspects of his game.

It definitely made no sense to consider trading him while he was struggling.

I think we either need to trade Frye or Curry in a package with Nate. If I had my choice it would be Curry as he gives up more points than he scores on the defensive end. Cato's presence makes it so clear how many points Curry's lack of defense gives up. At least Frye has some shotblocking ability and is trying out there.

If we could somehow convince Philly that Curry is a center to build around and package Curry with Nate and possibly even Balkman for Sam D (who was a bad signing - makes the same money as Curry) and Iggy I think this team would have some hope. Too bad LB is now advising them...

I think we might be able to get Reggie Evans for Frye if we act quickly while Frye's value is high.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I wouldn't mind bringing Reggie Reacharound here. Give the opposition another reason to fear our frontcourt.

And stock up on cups. ;)

Evans could be the New Rodman, scaring the opposition with his bisexual antics!

I think you trade either Frye or Lee and you get rid of a contract and get a defensive minded guard.

Not Lee. Dominant rebounders are too scarce a commodity.

if your keeping Curry you cant trade Lee, someone has to rebound. As for Frye the guy was hitting his jumpers. Aside from that he did nothing, and his terrible D (along w/ Curry's WORSE D) was a big part of the reason we were down 20 (again) to a lousy team in the 2nd qtr at home.

I'm glad he hit his shots

Isiah invested too much in Curry to trade him but now would be the perfect time to trade him and get someone who's a better fit (and keep Frye instead). You might be able to get Dalembert and a #1--Philly just got two of them.

Are we talking about the guy that dropped 30 tonight...The guy that hit the game tying basket in regulation...Apart from the 30 pts and the 2 blocks and the game tying basket....he did nothing???...The guy has been out 11 games...I'm sure he is not in game shape yet...Isiah said before the brawl game Frye wasn't ready to play a full compliment of minutes..

1> You don't trade big for small.
2> You don't trade for a defensive guard when you can draft one that will mature with your core.
3> You friggin wait for Marbury and Francis to come off the cap.

Everyone wants to compound the pasts mistakes by giving up on Young talent. Psssst... you
need three bigs.. psssst.. there's enough playing time for for all of them including Jeffries.

To me, Frye has been a disappointment. He's a 4 thats stays out past the key. He is not a good rebounder and is a poor defender. He scored 30 last night which is great and kudos to him but its because he shot the ball well. I'm not a fan of his style of play.

What I have seen him improve on is his body. He is defintely stronger and bigger in his upper body. But now he needs to use that body to box out.

I also think Frye should come off the bench.
