"Part of it was circumstance; the other part I'll take responsibility for it because I got in front of him trying to deny him the ball and they threw it over the top. "
"Things happen fast out there and whoever took the ball out of bounds was alert and Stephon (Marbury) was alert. We know what to do in those situations and for the most part we did it. But like I said I'll take responsibility for it."

I give him a lot of respect. It was a great play on our part and you know what - he took responsibuilty for getting beat. I love to see that, and i wish our players would individually do the same after a loss

You can thank David Lee's basketball IQ for that win.

Okur should take some major responsibility as well. What a puss! He was running away under the basket while Marbury laid it over his back! If he contested at all the Jazz probably win!

Okur and Boozer play defense like the Knicks!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Lee is a helluva a smart player, you're right. I like seeing Lee and Frye on the court at the same time, to counterbalance Eddie Curry's lack of brains in the front court.

^--- actually Okur was out of possition if he would have contested the shot he would have definately fouled Steph... So its a tough call... Boozer is the one who should have made more of an effort trailing the play

The man's got 3 rings and had to put up with Kobe and Shaq.

He knows better. :)

Maybe Okur would have fouled Marbury, but Marbury was missing his foul shots. No matter what, you have to contest that shot, you just have to. Nobody in the NBA is going to miss that shot, not even Charlie Ward. It was Marburys easiest shot of the day.

the smarter play woulda definitely been to foul Marbury & prevent him from getting the layup... we all know how Marbury gets at the foul line when the pressure is on... he'd already missed a couple big ones in regulation & late in the OT session... lucky for Marbs that he & Lee were on the same page & that Okur turned into Tim Thomas on that particular play.

I still think Boozer should have ran harder and he had a better angle to contest the shot

Yep not 1 excuse he just man'd up like a real soldier would. We'll never hear anything of the sort from the coach or players of this them that's for sure.

Next time I see the clip I'll look for what you are saying. From my point of view, since Okur was right in front of the basket, all he had to do was stop running and turn around. The Marbury could not have gone straight to the rim, he would have to go around Okur and that alone could have been the difference.

Anyways, beautiful pass from Lee, and a hardcore drive from Marbury = VICTORY!

Did utah have any fouls to give?

Lee's IQ- but marbury actually showed something himself. A brain, which I think LB criticized him for not having.

One smart decision doesn't mean he grew a brain or that he had one last year before he made that decision.

I like Lee and all but to think that IQ had something to do with hitting the only guy darting up court with three seconds left is beyond me..

I thought Lee and Frye played well together in the frontcourt. Their defense will get better they are both young guys, but you can see they learn pretty quick.

But in the final frantic seconds, Marbury and Lee, the two statistical leaders of the game, made eye contact. Marbury, instead of coming back for the ball, just ran up court and Lee in-bounded it to him.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Holfresh most people would have panicked and called a timeout.
