I really like what these 2 picks have brought to the team. Balkman has been a difference maker on defense from early in the season, he rebounds very well he can put pressure on the defense...don't tell me he doesn't have a Rodmanesue thing happening!

And Lee...there is no way to praise him enough...giving up weight every night, he is a rebounding machine, he is a very smart passer, only takes shots he is good at.

Who thought those 2 guys would be this good?

I've said it before, now I'll say it again: The front line should be Curry, Lee, and Frye. The backcourt should be Q and Marbury. It's a big lineup, make the other team adjust!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I disagree. The frontline should be Curry, Lee and Jeffries with Q and Steph in the back. Bring Channing from the bench.

Lee is way bigger dude than you are making him out. Balkman is under-sized-maybe 205-208 but lee is6-9 +250

I'm not sure about Lee at the three but I would try to rotate all three Curry, Frye and Lee...I think Frye is important for the shot blocking..When Curry leaves Frye slides to Center or we bring Cato...But Ill like to see Curry, Frye and Lee get 35 mins per with the least effective guy playing less time on a given night...Q slides to the 2... We rotate Marbs,Craw, and Q...So Curry,Frye,Lee,Jeff,Q,Craw,Marbs and Cato...Nate only if Craw is cold...

D Lee has EARNED 35 + minutes as starter. Whatever defeciencies IT may think he compares to JJ is irrelevant---you just ned right combo of players with lee jefferies is a back up type guy

6'9" 235 is less than average weight for an NBA PF I'll bet.

And he isn't skinny? Take a look at these pictures and then think about the other power forwards and how he compares in thickness:

I have a feeling Lee is going to get hit with the receding hairline BIGTIME in a few years.

I got him at 235 here: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3956

And I got him at 235 here: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3956

But all you have to do is look at him and you will see he is still giving up pounds at the PF spot (Look at his arms!), even if he did put on a little muscle, making his rebounding that much more impressive!

Oohah, in basketball, their listed weights stay the same throughout their careers. David Lee is a big dude, and even though he might have skinnier arms than the average PF, he's still very strong. He obviously can't be a weak link if he's grabbing boards the way he is. Is he jacked and juiced? NO! But he's still a strong dude and he's capable of competing down low to grab boards with anyone.

Okay, but where did I say he was weak or a weak link or anything of that nature or anything negative about him at all?

All I am saying is that he is obviously giving up size (Width) compared to the average PF and yet he is damn near the best rebounder in the league!

So I am not sure what I wrote that you are finding fault with.

Lee is a pretty good sized dude. I saw him in person up close and he is pretty big. I am impressed with how quick he gets off the floor and on the run he can jump with the best of them.. He was a beast tonight, just a beast, and he did that vs a front line that had boozer and kirelenko. Not bad....

Of course Lee is good sized, he is an NBA power forward! But put him next to the average NBA power forward and he is usually less thick. Not always, you still have Kirilenko and Camby, but usually he will be skinnier.

I would love balkman to play sg- even though he doesn't have an outside shot yet, he has such a tremendous handle and he can rebound in traffic and apply instant pressure in the transition game- he is his own instant outlet pass!

Lee and Balkman are very much like a Rodman/Salley - two role players who make an incredible difference in the game.

I'm not too worried about Lee's bulk. We're playing in a new age of NBA where athleticism and speed are more valuable than bruiser strength. The rules have made it possible for hustlers to be just as effective as the bruisers (in this case, the Boozer).

Balkman & Lee seem like a good match on the court for the mid-range shooting Frye. The Knicks could get away playing them at the smaller positions for stretches as long as they have some shooters on the court.
