I dont like the idea of JJ2 manning the PF position for us. Wasn't he brought here to play SF and guard the long, athletic wing players that give us tons on trouble? Q has tried valiently, and in some cases has done a good job (did a deceant job on Lebron in Cleve) but for the most part his lack of size and quickness leave him defenselss (Paul Pierce, Melo etc).

I would like to see JJ2 at sf, and Q at the 2. That would give us a long front line (all 6'11 if Frye is at pf) and a strong backcourt.

JJ2 at pf does nothing to help Curry. Curry needs a rebounder beside him. JJ2 is tall enough but is wirey and doesn't have the strength to guard the top Pf's consistantly. Plus on O, the Pf's dont guard JJ2, they just back off making it easier to double Curry.

So far in 2 games, Curry is averaging 15 pts with JJ2 starting next to him. He was averaging about 25 with Lee beside him.

Would like to see this lineup for a stretch:

Curry
Frye or Lee
JJ2
Q
Marb

Lets make the other team adjust to us for a change.

Lee is our glue. Isiah just cant stand success.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Should be:

Craw
Q
JJ2
Lee
Curry

why does this have to complicated at all? oh yeah, Zeke has to respect his boy Starbury.

It's going to probably cost him his job.

He has to realize it too. He must value respecting Marbury more than he values his job.

either that, or he trusts Marbury to turn it around, but man, he's stupid either way.

I still believe Jamals best position on a really good team is as a 6th man. But the way Marb has been playing of late (it seems as if the wear and tear is starting to catch up to Marb, seems a step slow this yr), Jamal probably should get a shot sooner or later. I love Jamals size at the point (6'5) and it would make us a big team from top to bottom, I just worry about those mental-lapses Jamal suffers for stretches of the game when he starts jacking-up off balance jumpers and forces some of the most horrible passes you ever want to see. If isiah can reel him in, then it might work.

I don't think so. I think that all IT needs to do is win 30 and have some guys show some improvement. I bet it's near a done deal already--that this whole jibber about a year's improvement is just guarding against total breakdown failure where we won something like 25 games.
AND even then you would hear someone would say *% improvement!

When you think about it, JJ at the PowerForward is fine. JUst to name a few teams:
Boston,Toronto,Detorit,Milwaukee,Alanta,Miami,Washinton, all play PowerForwards who are either really smal or play away from the basket. NOw the Smallguys do hurt Lee, but the guys who can shoot do. WHat I don't like is if JJ2 starts at PowerForward, then why is Q and Crawford Starting??? A guy like Balkman should start with JJ2 and Curry. BUt because Marbury is basically turned into Ridnour, minus the assists, running the team and points.......... we still have to put more offense on the floor.

Signing JJ2 was a good idea at the time. Q was coming off a horrible season and no one expected Balkman to be a good backup so soon. But now, the best thing for the team would be to find JJ2 a new home with a contender and get us a draft pick in return.

Ridinour's averaging 14/6 and runs an offense well. I'd actually trade any of our gaurds (Q-Rich, Marbury, Francis, Crawford, Balkman) for him.

Frye had 4 blocks

Frye continues to work his way back into the lineup and blocks even half of this games output, and we can start talking again about him starting next to curry successfully.

Jeffries had 2 blocks, 3 steals and 6 boards.
Lee 12 points/15 boards off the bench
Marbury 31 points and 8 assists
Nate 17 off the bench
crawford 7 assists

These are all great signs.

I think JJ2 at SF BALANCES the team
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

In the 2 games Curry has been next to Frye:

19 and 3 against Denver
10 and 5 against Indy

Could be a coincidence, could be something more.

Actually that was a bad Isiah impression. Isiah would deny that the fact exists at all, and instead talk about how the team is really gelling.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
