with the hype starting with Mr IT. We are one player away from the championship? Or is the team that consistently finds themselves down20+. It is what it is. And you can also see where a guy with a frame like foster oneal chris dudley type build will give curry problems. When he cant overpower someone hes not the same player. I don't know, but the play does the talking for me and it was a HORRIBLE homestand and now that we play tougher opponents the talent discrepency is pretty big.

3-3 is considered a bad homestand by 95% of the league.

and now we have denver and utah coming up. two more teams with some frontcourt players.

Their perimeter defense sucks and it changed every other aspect of the game.

This has been the case all yr where have you been?

25gms played 17 times they have allowed 100pts+. The defense has always been inept.

I think some posters have to calm down after every victory and some others after every loss. if you are expecting this team to be anything other than .500 at best, with lots of ups and downs, you're going to be disappointed, one way or the other.

You're being very generous saying .500 at best considering the team is well below .500 at home and under .500 on the road. This team is BONAFIED LOTTO!

Why should I cool it? After 3 years on the job, Isiah should should have this team playing better than just .500 on a homestand. I'm tired of this garbage and I'm tired of this BS roster that Isiah has put together.

^ HERE HERE!
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Why do you bother addressing the IT crew after losses? Don't you know they only come out after wins.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

i actually still kinda like the roster. you know something? if either marbury or francis werent on the roster, and we hadnt traded for eddy curry. i actually wouldnt even want isiah thomas fired. although i must say i am a bit dissapointed that the addition of jared jeffries to the lineup didnt transform us into a good defensive team.

I think Isiah is doing a below average job, but I also think that he gets too much blame given the mess he inherited and the constraints imposed by the owner he has to work for.

Either way, I'm here whether the Knicks win or lose.

Did we go 500? Awesome- that is what I had hoped for.

Its baby steps and yes, we are improved over last year- that is the bar we have to be measure against, just like the spurs get measure as to whether they win a championship- getting to the finals isn't merely enough.

Exactly. He's become the sole focus of critics who seem to ignore the complexity of the Knicks' problems.

I pretty much missed the game last night, although I caught glimpses and it looked bad. Can't deny that. I've been generally supportive, but sounds like the performance has to be a disappointment.

There's just too much warring and attempting to "one up" from both so-called Isiah lovers and so-called Isiah haters. The reality is that I think very few fall into either category, and that most just deal with the team's continued inability to perform well consistently in different ways.

what constraints are those--the guy has spent 500mm$ how much more latitude canb one person have--the guy has had NO RESTRAINT on his ability to bring in players. There are teams with less than 1/3 of our payroll.

the records of the teams we played during the homestand were well below .500.

indy, denver and utah had a cumulative record of 40-25. we already lost the first one badly.

the point is that this team needs to start winning and a .500 clip AT HOME vs. some of the weaker team's in the league is not a good thing and should not be considered baby steps.
