I'm not a big fan of moral victories and all that crud, but what I saw from this team in the second half made me proud to be a Knicks fan again.

I was at the Garden for the Wiz game last week, and this was like night and day. Yeah, I know we lost, and its the Celtics, and I know the first half was absolutely shocking, but that second half defense, man Oakley would have shed tears of joy.

Our play was structured, we nevered settled for an outside shot. We fought for rebounds. I would like to hear the effort analysis on Curry for this game because I was impressed on the D. He's no KG don't get me wrong, but he fought hard out there. The defense overall was fantastic, the Celts couldn't get a shot off the entire half and in the end needed their superstar to bail them out with a dagger 3.

I was also impressed with Jeffries' impact on the team. He aint winning any scoring titles, but man, if he can defend like that in his first game back, I'm excited. Q was off tonight (wonder what the game would have been like if he would have hit 1 of his first 7 shots), Lee was Lee, Craw did his thing (brick a few, take some stupid shots, but pass the rock pretty well), Steph is slowly getting back on track (vvvveeeeeerrrrryyyyy slowly) and Nate is as immature as ever, but it was the D that made me think of those 90's teams.

Again, I know its the Celts and we sucked first half and we lost. But I was proud of what this team did tonight. We made progress tonight, and hopefully we can keep it up.

Im sorry but this is enough already. Im tired of seeing almost every game like this. We get down by 20...come back to 3 or 4 and lose.

if we had our draft pick this year i would actually be satisfied. Its true that we're a losing team this season but i think this team is heading in a good direction. problem is we dont have our pick, so you cant say that were rebuilding.

Maybe, but this one was different. It wasn't just scoring runs to cut the deficit. It was good old-fashioned blue collar D. And IMO, as a D starved Knicks fan, it was more fun to watch then Crawford hitting a bunch of off-balance no-hopers to win.

I hope they keep up that defensive intensity, because if they do, we might just have a team on our hands.

Absolutely unacceptable and atrocious. There is no rhyme or reason that the Knicks should be down by 30 at ANY time to the Celtics. We just aren't a good team.

The Knicks played one good half of basketball. That's not enough. You have to show up for the entire game. No moral victory in fighting back after digging yourself into a huge hole against the Celtics.

hey, I never said it was acceptable and it certainly was atrocios in the first half, but I was really proud of our effort, organization and defense in the 2nd.

I don't suddenly think we are a good team, and we first need to show we can do it all game, but I was very heartened by my team after halftime.

rolling over on a 30 pt deficit would have been grounds to get fired.

Teams that roll over are those that give up on their coach. This has not happend yet.

Crackburys pass to Q was moronic.

You got Special nate tempting a Technical, then you bring in the "stopper" in Crackbury.

Crackbury did try but one thing really bothers me about him, even in a close game he won't put his stumps, er, I mean hands up on defense.

Kudos to eddy on another good game.

Celts are not a good team now, but we sure as hell made them look good. this is the kind of home game you just don't lose!

and back to embarrasing

I'm so glad fans here are proud of a team that falls 20 points behind to a starting line up of ryan Gomes, Al Jefferson, Tony Allen, Telfair and Paul Pierce. That might be the worst team in the NBA.

Proud indeed.

When some bad team is up 30 they just stop play and became themselves.
If we will go down 30 against Dallas, spurs, cavs, etc. we will finish down 10-20 in best case.
Boston stopped playing - that’s why they are crap and their couch is moron at best.

Now about Knicks.
They are a bunch of players who can be successful if GM/couch will establish the right attitude and will be able to couch.
Just settle down with obvious - we are losers, we need to work on our individual and team game, we need to build the team.
We have nothing to show yet. We need to work and need to remember that we have no leverage. If we not focused and not giving it all 100% all the 48 min we have slim chances to win.
We cannot hit free throws - go to the gym and practice. This is not a show - this is hard, boring work. And they are played big buk for it not for alle-uups and circus dunks.

And if this circus doesn't work just get read of the clowns and start from 0. Nobody will boo effort and hope.

Zone defense got them back into the game. Isiah lost this game for the Knicks. Its that simple. I gave Isiah full credit for the victory over the Celts at Boston, but he blew it this time. Why did it take so long for him to play exclusive zone. The Celts looked like a Highschool team trying to soove the zone last time we played them. He waits till we get down thirty to play it this time. Unacceptable. He should have started the game with the zone. (I was calling for it from the opening tip).

They killed us with the pick and role last night in the first half. Scalabrine looked like Bird last night raining in those threes. Rondo,Telfair and Allen were running through the lane as freely as kids in a playground. When we went zone, the Celts guards disappeared.

You're insane. The Knicks were terrible. The Celtics played like crap during the end of the third and start of the fourth quarter, because they had the game wrapped up. That's their mistake, and we capitalized... but then once the Celts turned it on the final minutes, we lost again. The Celtics are not a cream of the crop team either. The only explanation is simple... we suck.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

jeez fish, i've never known you to be so cynical... giving kudos to Eddy Curry's improvement is well deserved, regardless of how poorly the rest of the team played last night... i have no problem knocking Stephon for his boneheaded pass or his pisspoor perimeter D, i have no problem knocking Isiah for not playing Balkman at all last night, i have no problem for bashing Nate for his ridiculous selfishness in almost collecting a very costly technical when the team was trying to make their comeback run... but to bash Eddy for a 30 & 12 & 2 block effort is pretty ridiculous.

I don't think he was bashing Eddy there. I think he was making a point about how much we suck and how it's hard to be optimistic when we're so awful, despite one player playing well on offense.

The game was crushing, even for an optimist like me. They didn't do anything in the first half. Its crushing. I was (and i'm sure everyone was) a little happy watching them cut the lead and play hard at the end but wtf!? Why not start the game out like that? Atleast match the intensity.
