Not all of his shots are coming on D and LU. He has a soft hook that has been butter. It's almost an unbelievable transformation--somehow the dark side of the force has entered Eddy's body and he is getting dirty like Darth Vader before he was passive or just clumsy--running guys over--touch was so-so and his main thing was dunk and that is it. Now the ghost of Shaq is in him

I agree briggs. he is not just flipping the shot up, but he is swishing that nice baseline hook. It looked automatic tonight...

I've given Curry quite a beating on this forum since he was acquired but with each game he keeps putting up these stats he's really making me a believer. I agree about the touch Briggs, everything he puts up is going in and there not all dunks. It was great to see the fans chanting "Ed-dy" "Ed-dy." Curry deserves these chants because he's starting to play an ALL-AROUND game and the display he's been putting on lately doesn't seem like just an aberration, it looks legit. Great sign for the Knicks.

The Bucks coach commented on curry tonight.
"Eddy Curry was a monster," Bucks coach Terry Stotts said. "He gets it in deep, he finished around the paint. His presence set up everything. He set up the 3-point shot, he set up penetration, the game he was having just helped everybody. He's a talented young kid.

"This is the ninth straight game with over 20 and he's only going to get better. He's got a lot of ability.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Same here. I was down on Curry and down on Isaiah for giving up so much for him. He's playing more minutes and working very hard to improve all aspects of his game. Keep up the good work - EDDY!

if he ever dedicated himself to BB he might actually be worth what we gave up for him.

Boston on Monday should be a good test for Curry cause they got a guy in Jefferson who is of similar size and should be able to hold his ground. Jefferson is another big man who had a lot of questions and is starting to come around.I thought Milwaukee's Bogut would be good for Curry to go against, but Bogut was totally out sized.

there have been a couple of articles lately that mention Curry as the last one off the practice court these days. he's clearly working his butt off.

I mean, Curry had a patchy start and he's putting up Gasol-like numbers for the season. Curry is two years younger than Yao, and right now he's putting up pretty similar numbers to Yao at the same age. He's 2 yrs younger than Gasol and basically putting up the exact same numbers as Gasol did two years ago. Curry is playing on the level of those guys, if he can keep it up, people will remember this deal as a steal for the Knicks. I think he was worth the package, and he can have a lot to do with making sure the pick swap is minor.

This deal being a steal for the Knicks comes down to two things:
What Tyrus amounts too (and it's waaay to early to tell)
The pick this year. If we don't give up a high lottery selection... I take it back. Deep draft, we better not give up a lottery selection at all. Hopefully when the team is healthy, we will be clicking. Oh, and let's hope Lee stays in the starting lineup.

Yao blocks 2+ shots a game and prevents gaurds from even thinking about penetrating. (He also gets 2 assists a game.) Curry's been GREAT on offense, but he's not the two way player Yao is.

Two years ago, Yao averaged .8 apg. Passing out of the post is something you learn from experience and knowing the game, opposing defenses. Curry may not ever be a dominating shotblocker, but he's over a block per game in his current 9game tear. And Yao has never been over 2bpg. And Yao was not thought of as a good defender until recently. Players can improve, especially young big men.

Curry made the "can't miss future stud C prospect" Andrew Bogut look pretty bad the other night.

I think the diff in his hook shot is one thing and one thing only - Confidence.

There were 2 things Isiah has done to help Eddy -

1. Get him the ball

2. Teach him how to avoid Offensive Fouls

those 2 things have allowed Eddy to develop some Confidence... Put them all together and its going to get dangerous for opposing centers.

I get the feeling Eddy might start blocking some shots too - im at least preying!!!

I felt like when he had it going vs. Mil he started liking the idea of blockin shots and was goin after it more... Once he got going on Offense he started goin a little more on Defense.

lets not forget Curry avg a decent amount of blocks a few years ago wit chicago inclooding some 5 and 6 block nights. If he can get 20ppg 8reb and 2 blocks The trade was not a bust!!!!

see.. I really dont care about Curry's #s. We all know he can score, and we have all seen it often doesnt impact the outcome of games. Think about it... you have a center scoing 25 a game and doing so at close to 60% a night. Also the rebounding #'s have been there. So how how how how how can your team be 4-6 during that stretch?

Eddy is like a dummy that guards dribble around during practice. I have no doubt that any and every shot of him becoming a 2-way player starts with his conditioning.

I'm glad he's working. He's not going to lose the 30-40 pounds he needs to lose this season, but 2-3 pounds a week is reasonable.

Curry destroyed Bogut. In fact, they pulled him out to stop the beat down. We might finally have a center to build around. If we beat Boston tonight and stay above .500 for this homestand, we are right back in the playoff hunt.

NBA games are 5 on 5 (actually more like 8 on 8)... not 1 on 1.
