Everybody are playing better - Curry, craf, even Nate.
The team just take off when marbs went to the locer room.
His defense is killing us when he is in
Same is about Steve

Well, to be fair, Jamal and Nate aren't that much better defensively either.

Honestly, Once Steph left the game, noone had a clue what to do. We had a sequence of around 3 TO's until IT benched Nate.

If we are to be better without Franbury, we have to teach Nate how to pass in a halfcourt set, because right now, he has no clue.

nate is NOT a PG--nate is a 6th or 7th man type who can score and bring energy. if you put him in different role---it won't work long term imho. but he IS an IMPACT player OFF the bench.

I can't believe that anyone would actually have the gutz to try and say that we looked better once Steph was gone. What the hell were you watching? The whole reason that the Bucks got back in the game was because Jamal and Nate didn't run the team properly. GEEZ! Stop hatin for no reason.

Our guards all suck on D. The thing is that it's not all their fault, cuz our bigs don't step over and shut down the lane on those pick and rolls and teams know it. Just look at the game again and count how many times the opposing guard runs Steph thru picks. They do it over and over until they get free. Teams seem to do it to us more than a little bit, mainly cuz we don't get help from our bigs. Also Jamal and Nate almost never fight over the pick, they tend to go under it all the time. Steph is actually one of the only ones who fights over any picks. But there's no shot blocking behind him. At least at one point Curry and Lee started to do their jobs and it really helped.

Knick up 72-66 when marbury leaves. Nate and Crawford end the 3rd up 93-78....... you are crazy if you can't see that even though Marbury has these high assists games, which make him look like he is trying to be a team player, he plays the game half hearted. This team plays at an higher gear when Francis and Marbury aren't half assing it on the floor.

I'll take the 17 point lead and 8 point with a Crawford/Nate backcourt making youth filled mistakes, over the 6 point third quarter lead that turns into a fourth quarter 15 point defecit with a 5 point lost that Francis and Marbury bring. Because they play worst D, they put the team to sleep, turn the ball over anyway and they don't score half the points that Nate and Crawford put up!!!!!!!!!!

I think we should explore using Frye to package w/ either Steve or Steph and get a real PG in return.

Exactly. That was the reason the 17 point lead got cut to 3. This team really needs a PG if Steph is going to be out long-term. (Or Maybe Mardy can play?)

Exactly.
The Bucks wenton run not becvause of our backcourt offensive erors but because with 16 point up we stopped playing defense again.
No defense - no wins. You all know this. Stop fooling yourself.
Steve and Steph our worst defenders and so the biggest problem. Plus they cannot compensate their deficcienses like Curry. Thety both are old, injured, and their spirit is broken. Go over this and think about the future.

If the Knicks are going to make the playoffs, they need everyone playing well...Marbs had a good game before leaving...No one on this team runs the offense like Marbs does, like it or not...If anything it's a knock on the players that performed better...The better question is why are they so inconsistent....Can they only perform in the presence of certain players...If so they are not professionals...Look we are all Knick fans here...Most of these players are here and are difficult to move..The idea of trying to segregate the team is nuts...I'm still amazed the how people are downright nasty toward Frye because they think he will be taking up Lee's playing time...Our team will be better when all these guys are playing better...Not just when one or two of your favorites are playing better...

I actually think Steph was having a decent game other than his defense, which was pretty bad. I really don't think Steph is the problem. It is our team defense that is the problem, which goes beyond just Steph. Our guards cannot keep people out of the paint and Curry cannot or will not rotate quick enough to challenge and block shots. Steph was actually running the offense fairly well and I think the Bucks were able to make a comeback because Steph was not out there running the offense and Nate is not good in that role yet.

Game, the rules are set up so no guard cannot stop the opposing guard from getting into the paint..Notice Marbs gets into the paint at will, Craw as well...Marbs D has improved a lot this year..Curry needs to rotate better yes, but so does our power forward...

KNicks were up only 6 when Marbury left. Nate and Crawford ballooned the lead to 17...... get the facts right. Hell, the Bucks were on a 8-0 run when Marbury left!!!!!!!!!!

If marbury is only going to play on one half of the court, he is worthless!!!!!!1

ANJI if you have a tape of the game go WATCH IT AGAIN! Cuz clearly your understanding of what's happening on the court is off. Just count how many times Steph has to fight over a pick and then see how many times another Knick defender actually steps over to help shut down the lane. It almost NEVER happens and that's why our D stinks. No guard can stop another guard one on one, especially when he get's solid picks. You want the impossible from STeph. He's been hustling on D for a good while now, but it doesn't work if you don't play good TEAM DEFENSE. This is why we're waiting for Jared and Frye to come back. Not that they'll make us better all by themselves, but it's the change in the lineup that can have a positive effect. STeph, Q, Jared, Lee and Curry or Steph, Jamal, Q, Jared and Curry and then eventually Steph, Q, Jared, Frye and Curry are all much better defensive units than what we have right now. We'll be able to cover more ground and we'll have more length. This should help. We won't be a top defensive team, but then we don't have to be. We just want to improve enough to hold teams scoring down. We know we can score at a very efficient rate, but if we can keep teams from going off, we'll win more games.

Agree. At least, that is the hope. We will have to see if it happens.

Wha?????

Marbury Gets detroyed BY MO williams and you giving him a moral win???? Like he is Mardy Collins, LOL. Count how many times he fight's over a screen, He hustles???? THat's what you say about Eric Snow, Marbury is not Eric Snow. Eric Snow is a defender and makes alot of defensive plays, that is what he does. Marbury is an offensive player that shot's under 40 percent, can't play off the ball and doesn't run the team at a high level. Who doesn't understand what??? MARBURY IS PLAYING WORST THEN NATE AND CRAWFORD OFFENSIVELY AND DEFENSIVELY, what more needs to be said??? Our team deffers to a player playing at the level of a bench player!!!!!!!! What more needs to be understood???? THe guy stinks...

Not according to his coach...Two games ago, Zeke said that Marbs has been his best perimeter defender on the Stephen A. Smith show...But hell, we all know how wrong Zeke was when said he knew more about the game than the fans...

It is unbelivable how this team is better without Steve and Steph
