I liked that trade for Toronto at the time. I was a big fan of drafting Ford, but Milwaukee got to him before we could take him.

we REALLY need a PG

I think TJ Ford would make a huge difference. I've said a bunch of times lately if this team had a true PG this teams record would look much different than it is.

agreed. a true point guard would help this team but wouldn't it be better to go with an experienced guy? someone that can help eddy, frye, lee, Q and balkman get better on offense?

his offense is worthless because he doesn't play defense.

NO,I did not say he was killing the Knicks. I said his scoring was worthless because he was giving all those points back on the defensive end. That's not killing, that's neutral.

TJ Ford is pretty damn good. he is a defensive liability though. I'd have loved to get a Marcus Williams/Lowry/Rondo in the draft, but whatevs. we need to get rid of Marbury/Francis before we can even think about the next PG.

His scoring is not worthless. It's worth 16.7ppg.

I'm telling you bro, every single person would have taken eddy's 16 points every night when KT was playing center. his 16 points in the paint would be worth a ton.

Well, I'm saying it's worthless in the sense he gives the points right back on the defensive end. He didn't tonight, but Memphis also has no center at the moment.

Now if Eddy played D like Kurt Thomas... man thats an all-time great right there.

i liked the trade for Milwaukee--and in most any circumstance Id rather have the big--but the Raptors and Knicks may have been teams who would benefit. I wouldnt have done the trade quite honestly Frye for Ford--and I likely wouldve been mad if we did it--but it wouldve been one heckuva coup.

Got any PG's out there in the league right now that you'd be interested in Briggs? Realistic projections though, because I know you and me both want Marcus Williams, but theres no chance the Knicks are ever getting him.

well, I've been a Frye fan in the past, but it really doesn't seem like he and Curry can exist on the same floor. Toronto may have felt the same about Charlie/Bosh.

if we could've filled the biggest hole on our team with Frye, I would've eventually come around.

if you're talking about Isiah's biggest failure overall, it's got to be guard judgement - which is bizarre considering how good he is. But I don't even want to add the money up on the guards he's brought in who have flamed out. Jamal, Marbury, Penny, Francis (partly Brown there, fine), etc. just a disaster in the backcourt. I actually like most of the other moves.

Id be interested in Delonte West.

Interesting. Being an URI alum, I've grown to hate St. Joes players, especially since I saw West kill us multiple times while I was there but he'd be a great PG.

I don't know if I'd do West for Frye straight up, but I'd come pretty damn close. I would if a future 1st rounder was thrown into the mix from the Celts though.

I don't think Ainge would trade with us, too close. Also, I don't really see West as too much of a playmaker. He is a helluva defender though.

Celtics are likely a more desperate team than the Knicks. I do know Delonte has been hurt and is still hurt for the entire season. He is not a pure PG who can push like Ford[but there will be a couple of really good ones coming out in the draft] yet he is exactly what we could use as part of a 4 guard rotation. he's long, smart, fundamentally sound and plays good D. I wouldnt give up Frye 1-1, but if they added a pick, I would do it

I'd wait for the draft. Bulls are going to have a solid record, but I don't think they'll be great. We could also try to move up into the lotto with Frye at that point. we'd probably be able to do much better in the draft with Isiah's drafting - also, once a point guard performs well in the NBA his price tage goes way up.

Bulls pick + Frye for a top five pick or something? I don't know. we'll see.
