The Knicks are 20 games into the season. They are 7-13. How would you grade them at this stage of the season? Feel free to grade on your own criteria, but try to be clear about why you gave the grade you did.
A -- Excellent
B -- Good
C -- Satisfactory
D -- Poor
F -- Unacceptable

C. November was tough. They competed and were in most games. Thats satisfactory. Can't believe this is a quarter season old already.

I gave the Knicks a D.

I expected them to struggle, but I did not expect them to be so poor at home. The fact that they've won some tough road games tells me that they should be winning at home as well. Unlike some, I can't blame the home crowd for the losses. Therefore, the team's poor home record is disappointing me. In a weak conference like the East, we have missed some opportunities to be higher up in the standings by losing some very winnable games.

I hope they make up for it in the next quarter -- there's no reason they shouldn't.

I am satisfied with what I have seen in terms of flashes- but they should have a win or two more- especially at home. Hence, I gave them a D.

Check out the Eastern Conference Standings -- this is what kills me. If we win a couple of those winnable home games -- Toronto, Boston -- we're 9-11 coming into this "easy" stretch.

I gave them a "poor" grade, though am starting to see some upside if Curry can keep up his recent improved play. I'd move the grade up a notch if Isiah dumps Marbury.
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

C:
bad record at home
good record on the road
team is working hard
less selfish
still dont work together as a team on defense
have made huge progress with curry, lee and qrich
overcame some injuries
Need to see more progress and more wins
Isiah needs to lose the 4 guard rotations
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

C - average. we're a game ahead of last year's pace, but part of that is the weird home record stuff. Curry is being developed the "right way," Lee is playing the minutes he deserves, Balkman looks like a keeper, QRich has found his game.

Craw, Steve and Marbury suck and get a collective F. We really need a legit point guard.

I gave a D because a 7-13 is never "satisfactory" which is what a C is.

There are good signs though. Eddy's offense is really the teams strongest point right now and if they can keep feeding Eddy the ball and keep him on the court like he has been, this team could get on a roll. I still believe a true PG would send this team soaring.

There are some good signs and some bad signs--mainly coming from the terribly inconsistent backcourt that we are stuck with. But just answering the question
F I believe was totally unacceptable if we * 7+13 4* that=28--if we are talking bottom line? the only answer is F.

If you want to ask how the devlopment of Lee and Curry is going-then we have an A. But that's not the question and two players dont make a team.

I get a kick out of fans complaining about the schedule but when you look at who the wins were against it has to factor into the poor Grade.

I think is D
But this team start looking better.
So it is strong D.
So far we are winning only if all stars are lined up for us...
And the main problem we cannot overcome any team with their star player on top of the game.

D Poor.

They aren't a complete failure, but the record is pretty close to it and they haven't really improved defensively as of yet. I think the fact that they've played most of the games pretty close is encouraging and we could see things start to turn around. But I can't surecoat the start of the year. They were on the road a lot, but they've got an inexcusable home record.
