This was Isiah's best work as the headcoach this year. He was able to get the team to commit to the system. On offense we finally saw the use of the High Post Forward who gets the ball early and makes the pass to cutting Knick players and open shooters. THAT IS WHAT I EXPECTED TO SEE THIS YEAR. The problem was that when Jared went down there wasn't a guy capable of making those decisions, or so it seemed. Apparently isiah finally developed faith in Lee that he could handle the assignment. We still don't have it in the Starting lineup, but Lee was MORE than up to the task off the bench.

I loved that Isiah went to the zone and stuck with it forcing Boston to either beat it or continue to face it for the rest of the game. He kept going back to the same play over and over on offense. Since the C's weren't stopping it. I also see that he saw how effective Frye was staring to become in the paint on his post ups and has been going to him more inside. THANK GOD! Even Curry he was able to get running to the paint for early offense. Also they got him flashing into the paint for easy scores as well. Curry sealed his man on his back and that's more of what I'd like to see instead of Curry having to always just mindlessly smash his way in. This time they go him on Pick and rolls and open court stuff and not just vanilla post ups with everyone standing around looking at him turn it over or miss the shot.

I can't say it enough but this is what the offense was supposed to look like. Player movement and passing. It was good to see it and I hope they can keep it up.

Very trye.
They will have a chance to do this if Marbs will be out of the game for most of the time.

I see that another thread was started mentioning Lee as a Point forward and basically that was the role that Jared was supposed to occupy in the Starting lineup. I'm glad to see isiah get Lee involved in that way, cuz I've always felt he was capable of doing it. Now we'll have two forwards who can move the ball and keep this offense on track.

Why not to start Lee?
Fry will be more productive from the bench by backing up Curry and Lee and can probably get more minutes which he needs for his development. It will also take some pressure out of him to produce right away.

Curry is the one who should come off the bench.

Marbury's minutes down... Lee's minutes up. Best game indeed

it really is a pleasure to watch this team click on all cylinders... coincidentally it always seems to happen whenever Marbury languishes on the bench... if the point wasn't obvious before, it should be by now... i really think if we just get rid of Marbury this team would improve instantaneously... u can just see a marked difference in the continuity, energy level & overall chemistry among the rest of his teammates everytime he leaves the floor as opposed to when he's on the floor overthinking what he's supposed to be doing & stagnating any form of continuity on offense.

the time to cut the umbilical is now Isiah.

hey, it's early, but New Jersey is on their way to being 5-7 with a game in LA looming Sunday. No one looks too good right now. top teams in the league are Orlando and Utah. we need to get the Marbury issue sorted out, because if we can the division is pretty up for grabs.

this team can win, we've seen that, in their last three wins they've blown teams out. figure out the Marbury issue, figure out how to work Jefferies in and we've got a chance to be respectable.

Thank God that Lee finally got his due and played the minutes that he's deserved all along. Great game for Lee and the Knicks... nice to have a win in blowout fashion.

What is really good to see is the team responding after a bad loss. That is what good teams do. IT did a great job of coaching. It was obvious that the Knicks had practiced the zone and Boston was not prepared for it. The way guys were moving on defense shows that IT ripped into them after the last game. When our defense and offense click, we cannot be beaten.

If Isiah were willing to cut that so called umbilical with Franbury and Curry, then I'd be willing to give him more time as GM to see how he can work with these young players, knowing that their aren't really many old vet expiring contracts and so and so.

Unfortunately, I've been missing some of the games lately. Just a lot happening at nights lately for me.

SMH, why should the "imbilical cord" be cut with Curry???? Can the man get a fair shake at a full season before you throw him away like Marbury???

People have to understand that when Jeffries returns he is not going to be in top shape. His timing might also be way off on defense. So you might have to wait until January to see the real Jeffries.

Whenever Curry has a good game(which is about every 6 games or so) we hear this. Until he starts having games like last night on a consistent basis, he's still an overweight underachiever.

Curry off the bench is a bad idea in my opinion. He seems to go cold when he sits too long.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I've been saying this after the bad games too. The guy deserves a full season to see where he is. He can't have nights like last unless he plays correct???? Am I missing something, where is the beef with what i said???
