Rebounding is a natural skill. It's just boxing out and hustling. There's no thinking or talent involved. Eddy Curry doesn't have it.
Curry isn't good at getting position and he isn't good at hustling to the ball.
BUT THIS IS WHY HE SUCKS:
HE DOESN'T CATCH THE BALL WITH HIS ARMS EXTENDED!
HOLY SH!T! This is ridiculous. His jumping is GREAT. Especially for a guy his height. BUT HIS ARMS AREN'T EXTENDED. He jumps so high yet his hands aren't above his head! I'm shocked that he does this game after game. It seems like EVERYONE always steals the ball from him. Eddy's hands SUCK. I dunno what people are saying that they're so great. He fumbles the ball every time for the rebound. I dunno how other players don't steal the ball from him every play. All Aguire has to do is tell him to extend his arms so that he's actually a 7 footer (6-11 whatever) and not a 6 footer.
I'm amazed that this has gone unnoticed. How can you not do something as simple as extending your arms when you grab rebounds?

I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

and when he does get that rebound, he holds the ball in such a akward position where it usually gets stripped out of his hands... curry is a hot mess...

In all occupational fields, there are some people who just don't like their work, are unmotivated, don't try to perform well, and are simply in the wrong field. I assume the same holds true for basketball and Eddy's the perfect example.

Curry needs to rebound better for sure but to say their is no technigue involved in rebounding is flat wrong. Technique and timing are huge in rebounding. Also Curry is our teams 3rd leading rebounder with 6.2 rebounds per game still despite this horrible slump he is in. He is just afraid to touch anyone right now. The fouls got in his head and his confidence is shot. This is not the same guy we saw in the first week of the season. The rebound with 1 hand was bad last night but curry is also making some progress in other places. I saw him make 2 one handed kick outs last night ala shaq. He used to only pass with both hands.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like
