This is a dumb assessment....the fact of the matter is we've had a MUCH harder schedule so far this season....we've faced houston 2x, spurs 2x, miami, washington, denver, memphis, indiana, and cleveland.....thats freaking 10 out of 12 games against teams that were in the playoffs last season....come on guy its not always as easy as black and white...you gotta take some other things into consideration.

pointless to compare records right now because of the schedule. Anyone watching the games can clearly see without a doubt this team is much better than last years teams. They are in the games in the end and keep coming up short. The stars are struggling right now to find their niche in the system, the bench players are doing well because they come off the bench and their pretty much beat opponents on hustle and will most nights. The starters are looking sluggish because you can see they are all still sifting their way through the system. Once they find their place, they will play much better and the team will win those close games. Curry needs a quality big man as a teacher. He gets that, he will get to the next level.

I like to think of myself as somewhere in between a homer and a hater. I think I can objectively say that this team is much better than last years team, and the fact that all of our best players are from our youth movement is promising for our future. The schedule has been brutal tho, I said in preseason that a 6-11 November would be solid.

what bugs me is that last years problems are this years problems. We are a better team because Nate, Lee and QRich are carrying us bigtime.

This record stuff is BS. We have the talent to beat everyone we played, except expecting a loss to SA.

First 12 games last year were

Boston
Washington-.512 W%
G.S.- .415
Portland-.256
G.S.- .415
Sacramento- .537
Utah- .500
Lakers- .549
Denver- .537
Portland-.256
Charlotte- .317
Philly- .463

=.396 W% average.

This year:
Memphis- .200 W%(as of today)
Atlanta- .500
Indiana- .500
SA - .818
Denver- .500
Houston - .636
SA -.818
Cleveland- .700
Washington- .444
Miami- .444
Boston- .400
Houston- .636
WP%= .550
Without SA=.500

Then based on W% so far, last season was a little harder, but we were in position to win each and every game we have played this season--including both SA games-that was not the case last season.

If you want to say that this team is better fine. Say that, noone will disagree with you. These players are supposed to like playing for this coach. Them being better is not up for debate. Just because really bad is better than extemely crappy, doesn't make really bad good.

i agree last years problem is also this years problem.

but i "want" to attribut that to playing in a new system for the stars. You have Marb, Francis, Frye playing roles their not used too. Curry being asked to be the focal point of the offense. The team is still gelling so to speak. The bench carries on hustle and aggressiveness, but that can only take us that far. Kenny smith pointed it out, 2nd unit great on defense and scoring in the open court. however as soon as the other teams settles down and the games slows down to half court set. they struggle.

I want to give them a fair chance at making this work. I dont post much but in the posts i do write, I have said we need to be fair to the team and evaluate them after december. sometime close to all star break. Picking them apart right now is not fair, we have to be realistic, we have a 23 win team taking on playoff teams. And the games that we are "supposed" to win are not gimmes. I'm talking games like boston and aTL, etc. We have a better chance at winning against those teams but those games are not gimmes.

i am hoping the team gets better and somehow makes it to the playoffs. very optimistic way of looking at things i know.

This season, I see a group of players that can form the core of a winning team. Last year, I didn't.

You could attribute the bolded statemnt to last year's team, too. And you can make the argument this team has much more talent than last year's team from the giddy-up.

this is all BS no offense nothing personal at all--just dont like the message imho, anything is excuse, unless your a team with Tim Duncan and you lose him[yet the spurs still win when they do!] never the less new system young players--GS was 5 seconds from being 8-3 last night. its a talent league and we dont have the right kind or it is overrated.

why do knick fans booo--we have the WORST home record in the league 1-5 only our lucky road wins @denver and memphis hide the truth!

let me add weve been down double digits in all but 2 games a lot of these games you claim we were in position to win are comebacks when other teams let down

also, the first nuke went off last night--marbury is now questioning it ---- now the d am has broke--and were stuck with marbs!
