give David Lee 6 more minutes a night & he's averaging 11 & 11 easy... the team plays it's absolute best whenever he's on the floor... really there's no reason he shouldn't be starting right now.

Lee is truly a beast, if only Isiah would practice what he preached then we could have Lee starting over Frye, which also gives us the perfect combo backup for C/PF.

To be fair, Frye seems to be snapping out of his slump. And I doubt Zeke will bench Curry anytime soon. Lee does deserve to start, no doubt, but I don't really mind him coming off the bench. If anything, he makes our bench that much more dangerous.

I think we should allow Frye to get himself together first. If he's taking too long, then bench him for Lee.

K, i think Frye can get his minutes off the bench to straighten himself out... he's averaging 5 & 5 in 21 mpg right now as a starter... he could be doing better facing the second stringers on other teams, wouldn't you think? i also think he'd play better backing up Curry at the 5.

the priority for Isiah right now is to win games... if you have to start Lee at the 3, then that's fine by me too... put Q at the 2 & have Jamal run the point... he's a much better passer when he's orchestrating the offense & takes much better shots as a PG as opposed to when he's playing the 2... he attacks the rim more & hits guys on backdoor cuts & alleyoop plays w/regularity, something none of our other PG's seem to be good at doing... Nate is best off the bench for now as an energizer, but we need David Lee on the floor for as many minutes as possible.

How many sophomores have averaged a double double? My guess would be VERY FEW. (He's the brightest spot in a nearly hopeless organization.)

Lee needs more minutes, but the Knicks as a whole are going after rebounds a little better now...

Curry coming off the bench is the ideal scenario in my humble opinion. Curry playing against 2nd stringers would be absolutely beneficial for him and the team. I also like the chemistry between Frye and Lee. A lineup of Frye, Lee, Balkman, Q and Dinglebury would be the ideal starting lineup.

actually Curry is breaking INTO a slump. No Curry = Frye at center = better for Knicks better for Frye.

When JJ1 & JJ2 return, it sets up a nice situation where you're not playing people because you have to but rather, because they've earned it.

This is how I see it:

C: Curry. Forget it. He simply doesn't have the level of confidence, concentration, intelligence or consistency to be great EVER. He'll basically always be a Stromile Swift, Darious Miles type tease.

James. Ranks lower than Curry in all of the above categories. He's a big body with a small head & smaller heart.

Cato: He can give us spot minutes & provide protection when the afore mentioned bums disappoint.

Frye: I think vs. certain teams...he can give us good minutes here.

PF: Frye: I'd like to see him get get 20 minutes at PF & 10 minutes at Center each night.

Lee: What a player !!! Give him 25 minutes at PF EVERY night.

Rose: Spot duty. Nice work so far.

SF: JJ, Q need 25 minutes per. Balkman must see time as well. Some guard (see Francis or Craw) is going to see a severe drop-off in minutes very soon w/ Q getting time at the 2.

Jerome James and Eddy Curry could do this too.... Ill tell you how...

Hang a McDonalds freshly baked Apply pie from the top of the backboard... the smell should entice their jumping abilities and desire to reach above the rim constantly.

DLee however, no such supplements are needed. hes jus da man

David Lee leads the league (by a landslide) in rebounds per game off the bench. Among guys getting at least 20 min, he also leads the league (among BOTH starters and reserves) in rebounds per 48 min.

funny, couple that with Nate leading the league in points off the bench and it's clear we have the best bench in the league.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare
9 points & 9 rebounds in 24 mpg
