K-Mart Done For Season
15th November, 2006 - 8:08 pm
Rocky Mountain News -
Kenyon Martin was only expected to miss four or five weeks, but when surgery was performed on Wednesday, significant damage was found in the knee, more than a magnetic resonance imaging exam previously had revealed.

He will now miss the entire 2006-2007 season.

Martin believed he was healthy heading into the season after two season in which he had problems with his left knee. Martin underwent microfracture surgery on that knee in May 2005. [READ]

And to think, some of you maniacs wanted this guy on the team.

And sadly, that still would've ranked around "average" for an IT move.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Bootleg Post of The Day

with a sincere apology to a most respected writer rembee>>

Forget any mistakes that may have been made in this draft, I find it pretty amazing that with six picks, only one of them lottery and most of them in the 20 range, Isiah Thomas got six players.

Not one of them look to be "busts", two or three have all-star potential, and all of them had an impact right from jump. Ok, jury still out on Mardy, but he looks solid so far.

Why, it’s enough to make you wish Isiah bypassed acquiring all those big money players and rebuilt via the draft.

In the Oakly mold kind of way... I can see that. Potential being key word. And luck. Still needs a face up jumpshot and some work on D.

Renaldo Balkman may not be an All Star but 18 points certainly gets him recognized

Martin, David Lee's double double off the Pine, is no small accomplishment

He is only a sophomore and will continue to work

if I am coaching against David I remember to put a body on him, force him to the right on the dribble and leave him for the deep jumpshot.

If We traded Marbury for Kmart, Marbury would be off the knicks. Addition by subtraction.

Kmart might be done, so the insurance kicks in and he retires in a year. Been there, done that.

Miles would have sucked even if he was healthy. I don't like that guy at all.

All GM's in hindsight make blunders. Its part of the career.

Trading Richardson is harder than it seems due to his back issues and his contract.

Rod Thorn is a god! Not resigning KMart and using the assets from Denver to Tornoto for Vince was genious.

hey, you call some right, you call some wrong... i wanted Al Harrington on this team too... think he could have helped us any?

besides, the whole premise behind trading for KMart was to unload Francis, Marbury or Big Turd onto DEN... i might still even make that trade w/KMart on the DL for the rest of the season.

Nalod/ TMS - this isn't a fantasy league

It reqires two franchises to make a deal. Let;s hop in the Way Back Machine and ask:

"If Marcus Camby (Isiah's draft pick) was still the Knicks center, would we be enjoying watching him next to David Lee and/or Channing Frye?"

They said the same thing about Rodman but as Oak..."If you have spilled milk you to clean it up. You can try to body Rodman but the man ain't letting you."

misterearl, no kidding... no one said it was... the people who supported the idea to trade for KMart were doing so under the premise that the player being traded for him would be Marbury, Francis or Big Turd... no one is saying the deal would have happened, only that those were the parameters that would have made the trade acceptable to us... do u get it now?

Kmart is not retiring, so we would still have the big fat bloated contract, but Marbs being gone would probably still make sense to you.

Rod Thorn did a good thing by not resigning K-mart, but the Vince situation was more Vince and luck than anything else.

All-star potential? Wow. Half the league has all-star "potential".

Yes thorn is a genius because babcock, decided vince had no value and he was going to make a trade for alvin williams, another scrub and alonzo who didn't even want to be there......Give me a break, the RJ move was genius but he got lucky with KMART. Whose to say the guy would have not been injured in NJ, those are the breaks......
