Everyone gives steph a hard time, but Crawford sucks, I don't care what anyone says. He has his games where he looks like a superstar, but more often than not he scores on his own terms, one on one cross over fade away jump shots, he takes wild shots and is turnover prone. This team will never win with the Chicago combination they are too soft, to sensitive and don't bring it on the defensive.

Crawford looks like the same player before Larry started helping his game, he is now in the free flowing offense which is cancer to our team, and his game. If he continues to come down and go one on one this team will never be a success. The guy can get to the rim at will every play but he settles and this sets a downward effect for every player that watches him play on his own agenda.

I don't care what value you can get he needs to be off this team......

I agree with you, he can shoot us in and out of games with the later being what he does the most from the start of the season.

Hes playing much better defense this year, in terms of getting his hands on loose balls, and in the passing lanes. other than that, I tend to agree. Maybe hes not killing us more than anyone, but he's killing us for sure.

It's weird it's like he thinks that if he plays defense he can be a gunner.

I like last year when his defense was improving(but probably not as good as this year) but he felt he had to do more on offense on than gunning.

These guys need to learn to trust the offense rather than their individual skills. Crawford in particular is relying on his individual skill rather than running the offense and trusting that if they execute, they will score.

I think its the collective Bulls pair in itself that kills the team, but you have to move crawford, because as bad as curry plays he is still probably a top 10 center, while crawford is overpaid i don't care what anyone says.

I would rather have Raja Bell, Earl Watson, Arroyo, Brevin Knight, etc at a much better price....

Each of those guys would bring more tougness, defense, and smarts than we have on this team.

He was told to enjoy the game and play the way he knows how. Taht has led to less discipline and a guy that thinks in a key possession that he should jack up a 30 footer with a hand in his face. Last year this would have led to a scolding and berating in front of the press. This year it leads to another play being called for him.

I agree.

the kid is gifted, but it's still early to give him the keys to the Garden just yet.

Let's leverage marbury and Qrich until jeffries comes back to cover the front court lack of defense.

Jeffries has guarded Yao and Jerome James can body up Yao as well, much better than our 23 year old 7 footers can.

Craw found his joy, maybe he can talk with Marbury.

He doesn't look any different this November than he did last November under Larry

To me Craw is a 6th man. Ride him while he is hot, don't play him so much when he is cold.

Main problem with the guy - he is afraid of the couch.
He always looks to the bench before starting the offense to see what couch want to play.
He is a reflection of the couch.
Look at him and you can evaluate couching job.
Now he is a reflection of IT couching performance - guard oriented free flowing game.
At the end of last season he played stractural team bbal reflecting LB style.

He defenetly has a talent to ajust but very small bbal brain. Dont wait from him to compliment the couch. He is no Kidd, no Nesh... sorry..

That reply hardly gets a discussion going! What did he do last November under Larry that he's not doing now?

if there's one guy on this team that DESPERATELY needs coaching, it's crawford. (him and nate)

he has all the tools to be a very good player, but he doesn't have the self control to get there. that's why he looked like a much different player at the end of the year than he does now.

i'm very indifferent on jamal. if the philosophy is to dump long term contracts and get under the books, then jamal should be one of the first to go b/c he has the longest one. if the philosophy is to go young and not care about cap, then maybe you hold on to him and try to develop him, i don't know.

but all i know is that right now, he looks like a glorified streetballer and about a 180 from how he looked in march and april of last year. the guy has major shot selection issues. i don't care that he catches fire twice a month and helps us win those 2 games. i want to see a guy that plays consistent every night and make smart decisions - that's much more helpful than some crackehead performances. and so far, we haven't seen that from him outside of 2 months last year.

martin's right, keep his as a 6th man for now until he can show enough consistency to start. having marbury and francis in front of him may be effecting his growth as well, but no excuses. the dude needs to man up and GROW as a player. he's now in his 7th season.

He was struggling in November and his defense was poor, however, he was still fitting in with the offense and it seemed like his shot jacking disease was cured. He wasn't putting up nearly as many 3s as he did in years past. He's putting up much more. Larry Brown was the perfect coach for Jamal. Maybe the Billups and Iverson and so and so comparisons shouldn't have been directed towards Marbury and maybe more towards Jamal.

PS: I did not say Jamal is as good as those guys, so please, spare me my 20 seconds by not posting crap about how Jamal is not better than Chauncey and Iverson. Not that Marbury is as good as them either.
