Crawford
32.4 Minutes a game
Stat Line: 14.4 pts 2.6 ass 2.2 rbs 2.8 TO’s 32%FG 29% 3PCT
Best Game 35pts 7ass (7to’s) 7rbs

Francis
28.5 Minutes a game
Stat Line: 10.5pts 5.3ast 4.3 rbs 2.50 to’s 50%FG 40% 3FG
Best Game 25pts 6ass (2 to’s) 6rbs

Crawford 27fga attempted last game; Francis 24fga all season

I am not really seeing why after one good game that Crawford deserves to play over Francis and Marbury isn’t in the discussion. And more importantly I think all three of them have been disappointing.

So why is the little man not in the discussion to start, which is why this team isn’t going to be what it should because regardless of what Isiah says about trading his mother, benching his stars (who are they?) I know he is not ever going to start the right lineup

Nate
24.6 Minutes a game
14pts 1.2ass 2.6rbs 1.4 TO’s 52%FG 33%3FG

If we are going to begin the discussion, I think Robinson is a crowd favorite and energizes the team, so he is just better coming off the bench?

Right now I think our best bet is that Francis needs too play and start right now so his value increases. Maybe come the trade deadline, a team will be want him for an expiring or something if he's play well enough.

Forget the stats. What Steph and Craw bring to the table compliment each other. Craw shoots, Steph slashes.
Steph & Francis is redundant.
Nate is a great scoring 6th man, but not really a pg/passer.

i like Nate as an energizer off the bench... there would be too many mismatches in the other team's favor if we started him.

how about starting Q Rich at the 2 & Francis at the 1? if anyone deserves to ride pine right now, it's Marbury.

Q Rich
38mpg / 19.4pts / 7.2rbs / 2ast / 1.2to's / 54% FG / 47% 3FG

Marbury
36mpg / 12pts / 2.4rbs / 4.6ast / 2.4to's / 34% FG / 50% 3FG

if Steve could develop a jumper..... i'd be a lot more comfortable with him starting with Jamal.. His J is flat and shakey at best

ideally we could get rid of Marbury & have Nate be the 1st backup PG w/Jamal backing up Q at the 2.

If we move away from Marbury and Francis as PGs, I really don't want Nate running the show. Nate is a great scorer and a nice player but he's not a PG. I want a real PG in here running the show if we go away from Franbury.

starting Q at the 2 makes way for JJ at the 3- if we start lee we'd have the beginnings of a pretty good defensive lienup

edit: or if frye steps up

if we can get rid of BOTH Marbury & Francis, i wouldn't even mind trying out Mardy Collins as a starting PG w/Q starting at the 2, which would give us a very big backcourt that rebounds & defends well... Jamal would probably become the starting PG by default tho, & i would have no problem w/that as long as he reverted back to the way he was playing last year under LB... whatever the case, Nate needs to remain coming off the bench as a sparkplug until he learns the offense more & improves on his ability to orchestrate.

I wouldn't mind Jamal playing the point and running the offense. He guns so much less.

i would love to see that starting lineup get a run of at least 10 games to see where it could take us.

C - Curry
PF - Lee
SF - JJ
SG - Q
PG - Jamal

Francis disrupts the entire offense. with very few exceptions, he's really destroyed any type of flow out there.

Gunning has always been the knock on Crawford. No conscience at all.

Right on TMS - I really like that line-up you proposed of:
pg: Crawford
sg: Q-Rich
sf: Jefferies
pf: Lee
C: Curry

If we got rid of both Marbury & Francis our back-ups would be:
Pg: Collins
Sg: Nate
Sf: Balkman
Pf: Rose
C: Frye

This team would have great chemistry and be in the playoffs.

yup, i like the upgrades in defense on the perimeter that both those 1st & 2nd units would offer... you also have Cato to insert if you need some added bulk in the frontcourt... Francis & Marbury, while they're both talented players, just don't have a place on what this team needs to be going forward... unfortunately the man in charge of making these decisions is dead set on making it work w/those guys.

Oooh. I like that lineup. Balance & decent defense.

I know it's fashionable to hate Marbury, but let's not forget we were 4-17 without him last season.

if we get rid of Francis and get Jefferies healthy, the team makes more sense.
