the suspects: atlanta, philly, toronto, seattle

walking away with 2 picks in next year's draft, with one in the lottery will help big time

would you do it?

or do you think frye's best trade value is to dump a big contract?

dump for a team that DEFINITELY is in the lotto. not for a team that "might" be in the lotto.

You don't sell low, and Frye's value will never be lower (I think hope).

isiah will never make that deal because he might not be around for 2007. i don't expect to see a lot of forward thinking going on in our FO because of the ultimatum imposed on isiah

FOr all this talk about how we have to rebuild there's suprisingly little ability to stomach that process in this board.

this for a guy threatening to make the all star team?

I'm only looking to move Frye for young guy thats part of a rebuilding process and/or if I can dump Franbury/Jerome as part of it

It is way to early to dump Frye unless we got a really good deal. Simply trading him for a draft pick is probably not a good idea. The kid had five bad games, but he is clearly talented and I think he will find his game. Now if you could trade Frye for a young defensive minded forward, that mught be a good idea, but I really think that if we put Frye with the second unit, we would see an improvement in his game. He needs to be on the low block and playing with Curry limits his ability to do that.

I guess Frye doesnt qualify as a young guy who is part of the rebuilding process. After all, everybody knows that after a five game slump you get ten years older and lose all of your potential.

Hey- I love Frye and I think he can be a solid player- and i am not upset over five bad games-

but- this team needs a superstar and Frye isn't it. If there was a way to trade him for a pick that would be 8 or higher, I would do it

not saying there is a deal out there for him like this- just saying its the kind of swing for the fences gamble that a team like the lakers made picking bynum.

No I think he's thinking the same as me, Frye is more valuable to the rebuilding process helping to get rid of a couple of contracts and a pick with Curry here. I'm not moving Frye for just a pick, that's just stupid.

for a guaranteed top lottery pick, i'd trade Frye in a heartbeat... but i just don't see other teams doing it when he's playing the way he is right now.

maybe we can trade him to Chicago if they give up their swap rights on our pick.

It's odd to think that we were supposedly receiving offers from LA that included Odom...

Channing Frye and Malik Rose and a healthy Jerome James to Golden ST for Murphy and Dunleavy.

David Lee would have somebody to hangout with and Murphy would be back close to home.

Channing wants to go back west and play anyway.

agreed 100%.

it makes no sense to give up on Frye until we figure out what, if anything is wrong. I think the problem is that he and Curry CANNOT play together. start Lee, bring Frye in FOR Curry, let them both play 24mpg until this gets sorted out.

for the ten millionth time - LA will never trade Odom as long as they are trying to win with Kobe.

Yeah, I think Odom carrying the lakers in the first part of the season without kobe washed away what ever bad blood they had and has made him pretty much untradeable..... BUt I like the franFrye trade though. I think they could get Gooden by decemember.
Gooden/Snow/Newble for Fran/Frye
Curry/
Gooden/Lee
JJ/Balkman
Q/Crawford
Marbury/Nate

BigZ/Frye
Varejio/Marshall
James
Hughes
Francis

I think Gooden would be a good add. I don't know that the Cavs would trade him though. Frye playing next to Big Z presents a lot of the same problems that Frye playing next to Curry does. Also Hughes is playing extremely well, they don't really have a need for a Francis type.

I think of all our guys right now, Francis has the absolute least trade value.
