Gasol and Lee!

I'd take Gasol ALONE over Curry AND Frye. (Warrick would be a nice addition, though.)

I know alot of you are going to be pissed but Frye is the worst player out of the 4 mentioned. Curry is the 2nd best. I'd probably choose Gasol/Warrick. It's a tough decision because of the potential of Curry.

Why is Frye the worst? He doesn't get a lot of minutes to begin with and he's only begun his career.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Frye has had a far better career so far than Warrick (and also than Curry IMO)

It's fashionable to be down on Frye around these parts nowadays. Don't worry, next time he has a good game the Frye supporters will come out of the woodwork, then when he has a bad game he will be terrible agains, and so on...

Don't start getting chippy, oohah. You know me pretty well and I've never once wavered on Frye, even when he was playing well last year and everyone was praising him, I just don't think he's that good. He can shoot the ball but he does not do much else on the court, he doesn't rebound and he doesn't play defense, so when he's not shooting the ball he's rendered useless. Which is exactly what he's done recently.

Tell me right now how he's better than Hakim Warrick or Pau Gasol. Both Gasol and Warrick are better rebounders AND better scorers than Frye. If you want to use last year as an example that Frye is better than Warrick go ahead, but it's not going to fly with me because Frye was afforded the luxury of getting playing time because he was on a bad team. Warrick did not get alot of time because the Grizzlies were playoff team, but if you saw the guy in college and you saw what he did last night against Frye, you would know what he is capable of and Frye can't touch what Warrick is capable of in terms of inside scoring, rebounding and shot blocking.

I'm amazed that people are so down on Frye myself...As basketball aficionados, how can the skill this guy displays even on bad outings go unnoticed...Even last nights games I was like wow, when this guy gets going he is really going to be something...I really wonder if people understanding what they are looking at...honestly...

The thing is, analysis around the league think he is a stud...It's just this board where blokes here are knocking him...The Knick Fan Website...Go figure..

I actually was not referring to you NYK, but please don't tell me there isn't a trend of guys flip-flopping their opinions depending on whoever played good or bad last game, not just Frye.

I would never say that Frye is better than Gasol because I am not a fool. Warrick on the other hand, let's not get carried away because the guy had one good game. I think he will be a good player, I rememebr him quite well in 'Cuse, but whatever the reasoning may be, Frye has been a better player than Warrick by a good bit based on a whole season, I don't think that can really be argued.

There is a trend, I agree. As long as I'm not included in that trend(by god I hope Channing proves me wrong.. please Channing prove me wrong!) than I'm sorry for thinking you were talking about me. I didn't think you were, we rarely agree but most of the time we see eye-to-eye.. if that makes any sense at all.

I think Frye had a much better year last year but I'm of the opinion he was afforded that luxury because the Knicks were a poor team. It was tough for Fratello to throw Warrick out there when the team is in the midst of winning 48 games(I'm pretty sure they won 48 games, correct me if im wrong) Just from what I saw from Warrick in college, I think he's a better player than Frye in nearly every facet except Shooting. I might be in the minority by feeling that way, but dammit thats the way I feel!

I was as disappointed by frye and impressed by warrick as anyone else in game 1, but its one game and we can't jump to conclusions. I'd still take frye over warrick, but i'd take gasol over both curry and frye. I'd consider taking warrick over curry as well

I think Frye is better than Curry. Both has weakness in their games but i feel Frye is the more coachable kid with better basketball IQ. Curry to me is just a big guy who uses his body instead of moves.

If Warrick was a better rebounder than Frye, he would have gotten more than 4 PPG and 2 RPG last year. He would have gotten on the court for more than 10 mpg. He also wouldn't have gotten badly out-rebounded by his man last year (check 82games.com)

Memphis is a terrible team but they have a really good nucleus for the future. I would look into seeing what I could get for Mike Miller and really concentrate my efforts on development and getting the best 1 or 2 draft picks I could in a sensantional draft-- rich with franchise players down 4-5 picks with great players down through 20+ If they can get one of Oden Thabeet or Noah along with that tough MF point guard from Marquette Dominic James and maybe Vince carter? in FA they can change it around quick.

i dont agree with the notion of memphis being a terrible team, after seeing them play through preseason they remind me of the chicago bulls from the past two years, the players scrap, play defense and show tremendous heart, once they get gasol back they will be even better
