I'm watching sports on 1 on ny1.

Well they were showing practice footage of cato trying to explain to curry why he gets caught in so many charging. Cato was very animated and was really explaining the way I would or any good post player would explain it. One thing that has been over looked in the cato signing is his ability to defend curry in practice and make him better. Cato was trying to show curry how he would defend him and what curry should do instead of trying to drop the shoulder. He was showing curry to use his elbows to get around the defender instead of just dropping the shoulder. He was also trying to show him to go left. Awesome footage. You can clearly lip read what cato was saying. Awesome man. I loved seeing that.

As far as isiah, tom McDonald asked isiah about the curry manliness comments. Isiah said Howard beck printed that and McDonald was quick to say "no I heard you say it" isiah kinda snapped and told him well I'm not running from my comments. I like how isiah handles the media.

Well isiah went on to talk about defense and he brought up the major point about playing stall ball. Isiah said he is trying to win games and trying not to lose. He wants his players to attack. He made the point that just because you hold the ball and play stall ball and the scores see low and close doesn't mean you are playing defense. This is so true. He went on to talk about the teams he was on and how they could play defense and were great at it,they were trying to win and you have to be able to score the ball.

Awesome knick footage tonight.

All of the callers sound like you guys cuz they were talking about Larry brown and the fact the knicks always this and that. No one had anything to say about the now. Ny fans are not the most knowledgeable. At least not anymore. Just a bunch of spoiled brats.

Great post! I totally agree with you on the Stall ball style vs. uptempo. I was saying all last year that this team played better when they attacked and didn't sitback and let teams dictate to them the way the game would go. We don't have players that do well going slow. Some teams can do that effectively, but we're not one of those teams. Remember how many times last year the kids would come in and they were flying all over the place and getting the team back in the game? Well that was a sign. Then we had the 6 games streak and during that time Steph sped things up and the team responded. He was attacking like he usually did and the team took on that aggressive posture. Scoring and assists went up and we won games. It was claer that we needed to play that way, but LB didn't like not having control of the team, so when Steph got hurt, he slowed things back down.

Nice post. Maybe Cato will be a worthwhile signing. He WAS once a good defender, if that rubs off on Curry at all or helps his offense even, Cato will be worth his weight in gold.

I sort of winged what was said on the show but if guys are awake they could catch the recap of sports on 1 at 4am.

I'm so excited about this season. This team is the same but is so much different at the same time. tou just can't use anything from the past to discribe what is going on out there this year so far. I hope the bandwagon can hold this year cuz a lot of dudes will be looking for a seat.

Haw! Well put. There's going to be a lot of: "I didn't say Isiah this, Marbury that, I said IF blah blah blah."

I hope I've been plenty wrong about the Knicks and they play really well in all facets of the game.

I don't understand how anyone can say that people on this site will be joining a bandwagon when everyone on this site is already a fan of the Knicks. Makes no sense to me.

You need to read the site more often. Or actually read some of the stuff you write, lol. We are all fans but there are guys everywhere that refuse to give the knicks the benifit of the doubt and refuse to except what they are seeing with their own eyes.

Last year Larry brown exposed everything even the fair weather fan. Lots of people were condeming the players and not even seeing that Larry was not consistant with any of his coaching duties. Not even bill parcells, or Lou panela(sp?) would would have trashed his team as much as brown did. It was uncalled for and his coaching was nonexistant.

Starting from summer league and through pre-season this knick team is playing a totally differnt game. Its a team game. Guys are constantly moving. Guys are all handling the ball and making passes. Curry is in shape. And the knicks chemistry looks to be on the right track.

I got a guy that I work with that I get into arguements with cuz he watches the games today still talking about Larry brown. He doesn't know the game. When the knicks start to win again everyone will all of a sudden be geniuses again.

If you don't see the fellows rejoicing in glee with every percieved setback then you are looking at a different board than I am.

If you are wrong and admit it, I find that commendable, and I certainly will if I am wrong. But I have held the same positions for quite a while now and I feel I will be vindicated.

But watch for the flip-flopper and "I never said that" Posse. You won't see me denying something I have said again and again, but I bet a lot of others will.

C'mon dude -- you're the optimist who's predicting 37 wins -- HA!!! You cover your ass with your predictions, but reserve space on the cheerleader roster somehow... PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE ME SICK *

It's all good Evil...smileys help a lot, or else you would have gotten one of these posts from me:

I always cheer my team, even if LB had come back to wreak more havoc.

Seriously though, I am not an optimist or pessimist. I just have opinions that don't change everyday. I don't react nuttily to every high or low.

All I want from this team this year is what I thought we should have gotten last year...then if we get that you will see me demand more next season and so forth...

But you won't see me flipping what I said etc. I'll admit if am wrong, and you know I'll admit it when I am right!

Wait till the search feature gets here, I'll be pulling out the "I said so's" buhleedat.

This team is garbage. I say it now, and I will say it again even if we win the so called "sucessfull" 37 games.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Getting back to Curry learning from Cato. Curry's been in the league for five full seasons on two teams. How has he not already learned these fundamentals that have an important effect on his game?

Will 46 wins make you say this team is not garbage and be willing to call them a success?
