MVP: LeBron James Rookie of the Year: Brandon Roy, 2nd place = Rajon Rando

Leading scorer: Gilbert Arenas, 2nd place = Carmelo Anthony Leading Rebounder: Dwight Howard

Most Improved players: Shaun Livingston, Andre Iguodala, Deron Williams, Tyson Chandler, Al Jefferson, David Lee

Most Improved team: Knicks - 17 game improvement

Biggest drop off (players): Rasheed Wallace, Allen Iverson, anybody on the Heat not named Wade

Biggest drop off (team): Pistons - 18 games worse

East Playoff teams:
Bulls - but w/ no interior scoring, this is not a great team come playoff time
Cavs - Larry Hughes should have a huge year
Nets - excellent team who I think will come out of the East
Heat - somewhat of a dropoff
Pacers - big front line should offset ho-hum back court
Pistons - big problems with this team include lack of depth & Rasheed Wallace going back to his Blazer days without Ben Wallace to keep him straight
Wizards - Arenas is just a great player
Knicks - I'm a believer

West Playoff teams:
Mavs - will win championship
Spurs - is Duncan getting old before our eyes
Suns - what does Amare have left?
Clippers - Shaun Livingston will be an all-star
Rockets - assuming TMac's back doesn't keep him out of greater than 20 games
Jazz - Deron Williams will have a very good year, so will Andre Kirilinko > AK47, the best nickname in sports
Lakers - Kobe gets the Lakers this far, he's too great not to
Nuggets - Only because there are so many bad Western Coference teams (Sonics, Blazers etc.)

lol...and the topic goes from interesting to downright gutter filled.

I think you have me mistaken islesfat...you should get to know me, you'd love me.

as it stands, between your footer and the constant racist talk, you may need to find another hobby or something because you are dragging the board into the gutter with your obsession with trying to bait me into being banned.

How can I be racist? I'm a new yorker.

i don't think the bulls will win the east, but if they do, then it would be poetic justice if my spree/camby/h20 prediction holds true and it's crawford and Curry that bounce the bulls out of the first round.

I think dallas shot their load last year.

But you are closer to real predictions than I can come...I'm sticking with my knicks and hoping for the best, but my opinion is that barring injury, the nets do a ton of damage.

I'd like to see detroit win (if it ain't me knicks) and both them and us prove LB wrong.

rvhoss is actually complaining about somebody else dragging down the board.

Don't you have anything better to do? Like going to one of your Klan rallies or ridiculing other ethnicities like you did mine?

MVP: Tim Duncan: healthy again, lots of eurotrash support!

Rookie of the Year: Marcus Williams. Kidd will get hurt, Nets finish in first place.

Leading scorer: Lebron. All Lebron, all the time

Leading Rebounder: Ben Wallace. GRRRRRRR!

Most Improved players: Q. Gotta be a homer once in a while.

Most Improved team: Knicks - 12 wins gets them to 35wins. "Canyon of heroes" here we come!

Biggest drop off (players): Don't care.

Biggest drop off (team): As long as its not the knicks.

East Playoff teams:
Bulls - Not sure they tops, but they post season
Cavs - Boring team to watch. Lebron is a god, but not good ball movement.
Nets - Under-rated around here. lots of big eurotrash players. Marcus will be good even with a healthy Kidd.
Heat - Shimmy time. Yawn.
Pacers - Tough to label. Jail time for Jax???
Pistons - All of a sudden they are small. Not as smart as one thinks. Flip ain't larry. Of course last year not even larry was larry.
Wizards - Good base of players.
Orlando-Dameer is Da Better. Darko the vampire!

Knicks - Nope

West Playoff teams:

Mavs - Good, but too early to say if champs.
Spurs - Duncan is MVP, team is a legit contender. Parker gets better every day!
Suns - Still fun, still smart, still got the MVP!
Clippers - Kaman is ugly. Sam is ugly. They just ugly.
Rockets - Battier, Yao, T-Mac, gotta win some.
Sac-Still good enough.
Golden state-Nellie back in the house
Nuggets - Only because there are so many bad Western Coference teams (Sonics, Blazers etc.) Then need more guards.

Jazz-Out. Phuch em, they irrelevant. Morman Batty boys just not good enough yet. But on the fringe. Sloan is still a good coach.

Lakers-Out. Kobe slow start might doom them. Big Bad Bynum will be up and down. Oh-Dumb does not have the heart this year (lost a child in off season!) and rest of the team is not up to par. Hard to count the great Jax out though.

When I saw you didn't have Sac SG Kevin Martin as MIP, I stopped reading your post.

And common sense will tell you Kobe Bryant will win the scoring title. Dude said Gilbert Arenas. lolololol

17 game improvement still puts as at only 40 wins and a game under .500. I'll do you 3 better on that. A 20 game improvement is not out of the question IMO. But is it enough to say we're better (especially if you think we shouldn't have been as bad as we were laster year).

Anyway, mine:

MVP: Lebron
ROY: Adam Morrison (20 ppg)
Most Improved: Jackie Butler/David Lee (seriously!)
Leading scorer: Kobe
Leading rebounder: KG

East:
Heat
Pistons
Nets
Bulls
Cavs
Wizards
Pacers
Knicks (Holy junk!)

West:
Mavs
Suns
Spurs
Nuggets
Grizzlies
Clippers
Kings
Wolves

I think you have a pretty good analysis. I agree about Deron Williams as most improved. I had him high on my fantasy draft board.
My original prediction before Jefferies was for 42 wins. But now I think if will be 36-38 wins.

Vdesai, the Grizzlies are not going to make the playoffs. Neither are the Wolves or the Kings.

Forget it, I will allow you to believe what you want to believe.

Grizz are iffy because of Gasol, but they had a great draft and I wouldn't be surprised if Rudy Gay, Alexander Johnson and Kyle Lowry made a big impact, along with Warrick taking step forward. I think they can keep their heads above water and sneak in. Good D and good coaching helps.

Kings are still pretty good- Artest, Abdur Rahim, Brad Miller and I think K. Martin will be a consistent contributor. How long is Bibby out, just 3 weeks? Wolves could get in on the strength of their division being horrible, and the other contending teams (like Houston) being stuck in very tough divisions.

But I'll let you go back to picking the winning lottery numbers every day.

I'll let you get back to thinking you have a penis.

Seriously. You come at me with a condescending attitude when I got out and make a prediction, and meanwhile you haven't even offered yours and didn't even respond to when I gave you my thoughts as to why I made mine. But that's ok, appararently the point of discussion boards are to be an outlet for you to be a jackass.
