He played one of the better all-around games that I have seen him play. He still doesnt know what to do with the ball with his back to the basket, but he was smart and tough with the basketball--he moved it and showed a spot up game which he can use more. He needs to SLOW down when he has his back to the basket and either spin his body to the front look ro move it back out to go down and seal. They ned to practice this with him. But otherwise I was pleased with Big ed

so far, he does this every 3-4 games out of 10. let's see him play at this level for an extended period before giving him any credit.

No.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Only problem I have with that is if he gets too depemdant on them. We already have one 6-11, 250 lb. perimeter oriented big man. I don't want another 6-11, 285 pound one. I

He hit one of those jumpers early on against the Celts (the Mohegan Sun one) too. It was a thing of beauty seeing Eddy just swish a jumper like that.

Was reading on another board that Eddy has had that jumpshot for a while, just never used it much in games. Maybe it is just another thing to disrupt defenses, though I would think he would need to learn to drive. How is his dribbling?

Think of this. If he can hit that jumper then he could swap that role with Fry, depending on who is guarding Fry. It could be a way of creating mismatches, having basically two centers on the floor at once... and sometimes with three guards.

This might get fun,

he gets this jumper working and his post game will improve.

the jumper does wonders for ones game. See ewing, robinson, olajuwon, garnett. He is no where near there skill set, but you have to keep in mind that he is only 24 (i think) Everyone says you grow into being a dominant center, it just doesnt fall on you. I think he is learning at a good rate, bring back Patrick to work with him, teach him that turn around fade from the base line.

It might be Isiah's offense allowing curry to take that kind of shot.

I can see if he has had it awhile how other coaches would look at him and insist that he play down low to be disruptive.

yep, there are no true positions until the play breaks down. that's the same shot Frye was ending up with.

if he has this shot at 23, we do have a franchise player in our midst. At 23, he still has time to learn how to play with his back to the basket...then he will be unstoppable.
