Collins says he's gonna be the starting center.

if the Knicks had selected Bynum Isiah would NOT have traded for Curry.

He is looking good, but I guess the real question is, is he better than Frye, cause that was the real choice we made.

Bynum is better than Frye. By far. But Kareem is tutoring Bynum. Bynum has fire and skill.

bynum seems to have some good fundamentals down. his footwork on post ups look good. he uses his body correctly and is in full control. it looked good, especially at 19. he's a big kid. he's not going to run you out of the gym but you can tell he knows how to use his body. on one postup, he had nene on him, took a dribble, turned, pump fakes, nene jumped, he ducked under and dunked it. he also had a turnaround hook off the glass and a hook in the lane. so if he keeps this up, he could be a go-to type player in the post.

at a season subscriber q&a, isiah said he tried to get another pick to take bynum also. he said he took frye b/c he was ready to contribute right away.

Frye was more ready... BUT - what's up with the development now? We need someone working it downlow. WORK IT BIG MEN. I do NOT want to see FRYE as a 7 foot jump shooter, taking 20 footers. and with non-existent defense.

this is what happens when you have a win-first at any cost instead of building for a championship mentality. It always hurts the long-term future. And it's why the Knicks will NEVER win the championship with Dolan around.

well that's the thing. if we drafted bynum, it would've signalled a clear long term rebuild attempt.

Proved to not matter if we took Bynum. We were the second worst team in the league! It actually would have helped even more, cause we wouldn't have traded for Curry! Yet another Isiah/Dolan blunder.

Weird thing is that Bynum in his second year is better than Frye in his second year...

The thing is - would Bynum have been able to survive a year of Larry-gate? AND would Bynum have been able to do well with the ny tabs smearing him everyday and around Marbs?

Martin, I think what you mean is Dolan will never let you dump games ON PURPOSE.

Caz we've been in the lottery like 4 out of the past 5 years.

Why do you think Larry Brown did what he did? B/c he knew the only way was by rebuilding, and Dolan eventually picked up on it and fired his ass.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Lamar Odom is better than any player on our team..........and he's like not even half the player Kobe is really.
