is David Lee. Funky, ambidextrous post game, great rebounding instincts, aggressive finisher, solid handle, excellent interior passer...overall great kid.

I really am looking forward to seeing this guy over the long haul.

im impressed by Q Rich.. I think he is a totally different player than last yaer.. Twice this preseason i have seen him dribble to about 19 feet.. and with confidence pull up and bury a jumper in the defenders face.. something i dont even think he had enough confidence to ATTEMPT last year much less MAKE

It's acceptable only if it doesn't require us to suspend belief and tell us that Marbury is going to totally change his game after 10 years in the league, or that Curry will be in shape to play 35 minutes a night and be consistently productive...

Completely agree, Lee has kept more balls alive and made more "hustle plays" than anyone on the team.

Also he's gotten stronger and its been showing on D and on the boards. You have to love the way he plays.

I believe Frye has been rebounding at around the same rate as Lee.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Don't you get it, those were bad rebounds because ultimateknicks.com don't like him anymore. David Lee got the good ones. If you don't fancy the player he gets bad rebounds, if you fancy him, he gets good ones. Pretty simple.

It's like Crawful, sometimes you may observe him taking what many would call bad shots but he is beloved so they are considered "tough shots". Those passes to Curry weren't bad, Curry just didn't do enough to get them.

I love being a Knick fan.

It's amazing to me that a guy like Lee didn't get more PT last year. I look forward to seeing him get a lot more PT this year. He just gets things done. I also think Balkman has to be fit into this thing this year. He doesn't have to get a ton of minutes, but he has to play, cuz he brings an energy level that fits perfectly with guys like Lee, Nate, Jamal and Q.

Nixluva - Lee didn't get more PT last year b/c he was doing some good things (i.e. during the 6 game winning streak). This was unacceptable to the disingenuous, power-hungry, piece of horse dung, Larry Brown who literally tried everything in his power to throw games.

That and he needed to work on his jumper, and his man defense, and his team defense, he was a little slow for the 3...

I definately agree about Lee, he's played great so far this preseason, you can tell he was working hard all offseason on that jumpshot and also his rebounding. It's great to see the transformation he's made since midway through last season

What is the point of saying things like this? Was it absolutely necessary for you put this in your post?

Lee is my favorite Knick, and here's why. He sees the game quickly. He's mentally quick, and this is as true in a slow halfcourt game as it is running or uptempo. He's just a very quick decision maker and knows what to do with the ball before he gets it. I don't know if there's another player on the team I can say that of.

Lee has been playing the way I expected, really. He's been good. As Briggs said, Nate Robinson has been playing well too. But the people who have really really stood out to me were Quentin and Ronaldo.

Jamal has been playing the way I expected. Francis has been improving. Marbury has been TOO quiet. Curry has been decent. Frye has been decent. Those 2 haven't really done anything special.

I think if there HAVE to be captains, it should go to Jamal and Quentin.

I think there should not be captains for a while.

i think Balkman's opening alot of eyes this preseason... Q Rich was showing that same hustle & effort last year, but his shot finally began to come around during last night's game
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
